one day Post Op
What a difference a day makes when you are in your home and in your own bed and warm and comfy. I feel very good. NOt taking pain meds...I dont need them...I feel a little woozy but i think its from all the ansthesia and stuff I was on in the hospital. So far no dumping ..but then again I am on a liquid pureed diet. Nothing larger that can go thru a straw. I had sf chocolate swiss miss with a teaspoon of choco protein thrown in this morning...crushed my own meds...had liquid centrum...gotta do one more again. Twice a day. Plus I have to inject myelf with Lovenox twice a day..no big deal......for those who havent had it done, its very easy, just find a spot and push the little needle in...they are all pre-filled.
I am drinking all day, fruit 20, sf lipton green tea/citrus, and water, and of course liquid isopure protein. I have to think of what i can have today thats a bit more heavier....like baby food mixed with broth.
I have to say, THANKS FOR THIS MESSAGE BOARD, BECAUSE WE TRULY NEED THIS AFTER THE OPERATION!!
LIke I said in my last post last night which was last night and i wasn' well then.. There is a light at the end of the tunnel when you read that will be able to eat real food.... I am having head hunger too
Just took a short nap, and this week i will be walking more..the physical therapist wants you to walk 8 min 3 times a day, but when u come home from the hospital,,its all you can do to walk in your own house ...just doing minor stuff.
I want to post a message later on regarding somone I know very well...not good news but its about drinking alcohol and this type of surgery and using nsaids and tylenlol.......tired now..... carol b
Carol,
I know that it's really hard in the hospital. My stay was horrible, I hated being in there. As soon as I got home I felt 1000% better. Everyday you will feel better and better. I have found that I don't have to crush what meds I have left to take....
I'm glad you're home and that its behind you now, you are a loser now and I wish you the best of luck...
If you need anything I'm here..
Lots of Love,
Teri
