Had initial consult today

Met with Dr. Ryder today. I really like her a lot. She spent a lot of time with me going over the whole procedure, getting approval from the insurance co., going to scheduled appointments etc. She answered all my questions, and I was happy that she crossed off of my medical questionaire that I was a smoker. She was pleased I quit, and I don't have to be six months smoke free before I see her again. She said it would take 2-4 weeks to get approval from the insurance company, and then I would get a packet for my testing. I've already done a couple of big ones, so she said it would only take a couple of months to complete. After that I can schedule my surgery. So we are figuring the end of September beginning of October. I am so excited I could jump up and down if my knees were not so bad. LOL.

Kristen, I'm glad you met dr ryder and liked her....I just love her. she is just a fantastic person and she will take very good care of you. Congratulations on getting the first part of your journey over with. I wish you the best of luck on the next part of this journey. Teri

That is awesome news Kristen. I am very happy for you. I would jump up and down for you to but I guess I have to wait to have my surgery first too. The knees are ready. Betz
