one month post-op, too!
hellooo
finally got the last of the staples out. woohoo. i jumped on the scale.. and voila! another 12 pounds gone, making the grand total for my first month...
40 pounds!!!!!
i am officially where i was at, 3 years ago at this time.. when i was first originally scheduled to have my gastric bypass [but had to postpone for the "perfect job." blah blah blah- big mistake. lol]
now i feel like i'm starting my journey. i'm back to where i should have been.. and now i just have to keep going!
also.. i went out to dinner for the first time. shhh. don't tell. i ate real food. i had sushi!!! i ate the innards of 2 pieces of spicy scallop roll, and 2 pieces of tuna sashimi. it was the best meal i have ever eaten!!! i'm going to live on sushi once i'm totally cleared to soft foods.
down with cottage cheese-like substances!
Yeah, doing the happy dance for you.....Wow 40 lbs thats fantastic....I'm so happy for you. Congratulations on being where you were 3 years ago....Now starts the beginning of our new lives....
I don't think sushi would do well for me....fish isn't sitting great with me....but i'm happy its good for you. I still haven't found my perfect food yet...still having trouble with that.
Well you have a great day...and i'll talk to ya later,
Love ya,
Teri

That is unbelievable!!! Congrats!! You know what is really funny? My mom and my aunt do not want me to get this surgery and my aunt offered to come and stay at my house for a week and get me started on the southbeach, and my mother said "she has lost 40 LBS!!!!" I said in how long? and she said a year!!!!!!!!!! I said mom I will lose close to that the first month!!!!
