How long out of work

I'm just wondering how long I can expect to be out of work. I'm sure I will be in no hurry to get back... I want to make sure that I'm feeling well enough. I have a desk job/ w/ some up down stairs and carrying packages to the mail room. Thanks and have a great day!

if you are having this done lap: i'd say 2.5-3 weeks. if it's open, at least 6. i know i'll be out at least 8 to give myself a lot of time to fully heal, inside and out. please be creful carrying anything so close to surgery. you do not want to develop a hernia - and that's the easiest way to get one!! kristen

My surgery is June 27th, and well seeing how I work in retail (big warehouse club store) and the fact that they are open the fourth of July, I'm hoping for as many days off in the month of July I can get. It's hot in there and crazy, so if i can suck up most of the month relaxing well yaaahoooie!! I've already planned that as soon as I'm able to drive my butt will be at Misquamicut beach every waking hour!!! I love that beach so much. My sister-in-law and I would go there from 8am-8pm when our kids went to Florida with their grandparents for the summer. Talk about relaxing... But now my beach partner has up and moved to Florida also so I'll be on my own. Maybe we can plan a day where all us "losers" can have a beach day! Now that would be so fun!!!! Anyways, congrats to our newest "losers" and i can't wait to be joining you!!! One month and 9 days away for me!!!!! Hay by the way where is Shellie?????? Big Hugs!! NaDene

Hi NaDene, I've been really concerned about Shelli too...I wrote her an email yesterday and no response...I will call her later on today if I don't hear from her. Hey Misquamicut is right down the street from me. I usually go to our town beach but I'd love an outing with all of us losers at Misquamicut....Let make it happen... i'll be there!! i usually head over to 2nd beach in Middletown or Narragansett [i like watching the surfers..], or well - the one next to my house in Jamestown - but this one isn't as nice as those. lol Misquamicut has such a fun/carnival-like atmosphere. i love it! [no fried dough anymore, tho....] so yeah, i think this sounds like a fantastic idea!
