again! lol

ok - today's a big day - ALL of my 20 steri strips are finally off. every single one of them. most of the incision is completely healed, with the exception of a couple tiny holes where scabs once were... [i'm thinking i might take a picture cuz this incision is noteworthy!] so what did i find?! 2 more staples! LOL i think dr. roye was out to lunch when he removed these last friday. seriously! but i did just find out that he is going to soon be the proud father of a new baby.. so maybe that's what he was thinking about.. lol so i go to see ms. helen tomorrow at 2:30 to have these final staples removed - and get weighed. i'll be jsut about a month post-op by then.. so i'm curious what the grand total is! xoxoxo kristen

haha - why not? it's turning out pretty. ;o) jk. the sun is kind of out.. but not really. it's trying really hard!!!! every few seconds it gets to shine, but then those stupid clouds come and take over. i have that annie song stuck in my head for the last couple days.. "the sun will come out.. tomorrow...."

The sun is peaking through here in westerly....It felt so good to drive without my windshield wipers and lights on today... I can't believe you still have staples in ya...damn girlie...Helen will get them all out tomorrow... Congrats to Dr Roye....wow he must be in 7th heaven... Have you heard from Shelli? Kristin: Did you have open or lap RNY? That is so weird that you still have staples, don't worry it will all get taken care of. Let us know an update after the weigh-in!!! Kristin

i had 3 operations in one.. and they had to be done open. so i had a 14" incision with 56 total staples. it's a little surprising that the staples were left, but i'm kind of glad they were. they were in an area that endures a lot of stress, so i think it helped my healing. but it was still surprising to find them! have a good one kristen
