I have a date

I saw Dr. Roye on Monday the 8th and I finally have a date for surgery. My surgery will be August 3rd. I am thrilled about this but disappointed that is so far away. I know it will most likely pass by quickly and the surgery day will be here soon but I have so long to wait. Coincidently my surgery date is 1 year to the date that I had my first consultation with Helen. It took so long because of the first denial and I prolonged the process by 1 month when I tore my meniscus and needed surgery for that. Anyway, I have a date. Betz

Thanks. I guess. It is just that time seems to drag on sometimes. It has been a long year preparing for this surgery, another 10 weeks can't get me down. Betz

Congrats! :) I'm new here and I'm waiting for the doctors office to call me back for my initial appointment. All of the encouraging results have given me the courage to do this...I've been delaying it for about a year until I was sure I was ready. Hopefully I meet the criteria for my insurance. :)
