Personally, I don't recommend Beneprotein, it's gross and for the 6 grams of protein it gives you, it's doesn't seem worth it.. I put it in cream soup and shredded cheese and it wasn't bad, but in other things.. not so good.. and yes, you have to ask the pharmacist for it.. it's made by the same company as optifast... so maybe they just push that product... just sayin'...
The first week or two meeting your protein goals is next to impossible.. make sure you have a good shake on hand, you should be fine.
Thanks for the info. :-) I was actually thinking of ordering Unjury but I keep going back tot he Bariatric Guide from Rockland and it has Beneprotein mentioned all over the place. Thing that gets me is that Beneprotein only has 6 grams of protein per serving so I would be scooping and scooping all day long. LOL.
Sometimes I think I confuse myself even more with all of the reading and researching I do. Trying to find out what is best & simplify my life a bit!!
Have a goodo one!!

I ordered 2 containers of Unjury (choc slender and chicken soup) and a sample pack with thermo and bottle. I havent tried yet, but was easy to order over internet on their site - shipping was a bit steep at 18$ but it came to the door very fast. From what i've read on the forums, these 2 are among the favorites.
Hey everyone.
Which protein powders/ shakes do you use or suggest? I have been looking for Beneprotein and just cannot find it in stores. Do i need to ask the pharmacist to order it??
I was hoping to get mysefl all stocked for when my time comes. :-).
Thanks for your help guys.
MissCurves - Good for you if your timeline went this fast! Wow, the fact that you had your info session only last month is making me very optimistic! :)
Pete- Thanks for your reply. The person I know that has the same date, was also proposed a surgery date in december but declined it because she felt it was too soon and that she needed time to prepare herself.

@ Barbara: Great!!!
@Mama_genny: About the time line...My group information session was January 10th,2013.. Then my 1 on 1 with Dr. Court a week later.... Then surgery is March 26th,2013... Mine just FLEW by. While some people I saw were very hesitant. There were people complaining it was going to fast they needed time to think about it. On the other hand I was already decided from the time I sent in my application that this was what I wanted, and I made that very clear. So I think that's why I was scheduled so quick.
I saw another post(Sorry I don't remember who) but she had her information session on December 10th and her surgery was also in March.
@Pete: When I called she told me they would call me the day before to give me the exact time I should be there.... I assume it's the same for you.

They didnt give me an actual surgery time, which now that i think of it they probably should have? They said that you usually go in for 7 or 8 am. i'll have to clarify.
they will be calling me next week to book the preop and meeting with dialectician, so perhaps i'll find out then.
I had my group meeting late september i think, and 1:1 with dr court in october. the first date they gave me was jan 30 (which i declined). so about 3-4 months after group meeting.

Justpete, I know someone else who got called today for a sleeve with Dr Court on april 2nd at Lachine. At what time is your surgery?
May I ask when was your group meeting? I'm having mine next week and would like to have an idea of when my time could come...
Good luck to you in getting ready!
