Topic: Plastic Surgeon

Hi

I'm seeking for a good plastic surgeon, I'll be ready around September (now 15 lbs to goal).

I had surgery in Mexico because I was not able to afford to pay here in Montreal.  If you can suggest a good and affordable plastic surgeon I would appreciate.

Thanks

Topic: RE: Interesting call...

Me too I decided to go to Mexico. I have been waiting now for one year for a phone call to have an information meeting at Pierre Boucher.  No idea what kind of surgery or when after that call.

I'm at 15 pounds from goal, no more high blood pressure, back pain, heel pain, knee pain, hip pain and feeling more and more strong.

Hi Sylvie,

My experience with Dr. Garneau has been positive so far.  He's very nice, and takes the time to answer your questions.  I saw him both before the surgery and the day of my discharge.  Hope this helps :)

Topic: RE: Stricture...

oh no, i'm sorry to hear this .. hopefully they can clear it up soon!  so this happened at 5 weeks?  geez, i wonder what brought this on.

I guess it's good that you can get the boost down, better than nothing.  I find it gross myself, too much oil taste for me.  but it has nutrients in it at least, though 15gx3 isnt really enough protein plus comes with a lot of sugars.

no luck on the whey shakes eh?  I've been ordering my About time mocha mint from http://www.lowcarbcanada.ca/ if you cant find a place, this one has cheap shipping 8$ per order, free if over 100$ order.   I put 1.5 scoops in 1.25 cup skim milk with ice.  47g protein.

HW: 407   Final Appointment : 376   Pre-op Diet Start: 367   SW: 350 (Apr2/2013) Add me on MFP

Topic: Stricture...

NOT fun!! I am 5 weeks out. Liquids, yogurt, oatmeal, soup go down fine. Cheese, meats, eggs forget it. It gets to caught in my pouch. I try to burp and all I get is THICK frothy saliva, that eventually makes me puke.

Last week when I went to the surgeon, I was told that if this continues they will need to go down my throat with a camera and balloon to stretch my stoma. I have been drinking boost for probably 2-3 meals, after it was recommended by the dietitian. The dietician is very worried that I am not getting even near the protein levels I need...

Has this happened to anyone else?

Topic: RE: Dr.christou??

I had my surgery on Tuesday and it went great. I have nothing but great things to say about dr.christou and all of the nurses and staff there. I got the sleeve as I'm not ok with my parts being re-arranged (lol) and I felt in absolute perfect hands the whole time, good luck with your surgery. I'm 5 days out and feel incredible.

I decided to skip the list and went with Dr. Christou also.  I am booked for the 11th of June, you? I found him to be so reassuring, sympathetic and professional.  My mother went to my appointment and instantly felt at ease about what I had chosen to do once meeting him!
