Hi Sweet sylvie, so nice of you to ask. I just got discharged this evening and I'm back home with my family. Overall, the surgery went super well. I had what they say is a common complication when they had to attach the duodenum to the bowl but everything is good. That's why they kept me a day or 2 longer.
Besides that, I'm still a little sore but very bearable but for me the worst part of the pain was something I didn't expect. My throat kills because of the intubation it seems. That actually bothers me more than the belly.
Anyhow, I'll keep you guys updated and thx again for looking out for me.

Have you been in Cuba for plastics? Are you able to know who is going to be your surgeon and have information about his experience/work ?
I am so excited for you! Good vibes being sent your way! Stay positive and all will be great!
Good luck to you! I'm sending you good vibes but I'm sure you won't need them as everything will be just fine!

@starlighlu ..... Yes 43 pounds... I do consider the 17 post op weight as well . I think I'm on the right track with the weight loss because justpete has his surgery the day after mine and he lost 46.
@Just Pete .. I'm getting better now without the stoma stretch. Now it only happens if I drink to soon after a meal. So I am hyper vigilant not to do that anymore. I think it was reacting like that because I was too full. My stomach just seems to be healing slower then others, But I'm getting there. The Diabetic boost is not a problem for me because I do not dump. I am now drinking 1 in the AM with 2 scoops of beneprotein to make sure I get enough thought my day.
The grocery store has become an adventure. Finding new foods that is high in protein that I can eat.
