Hello everyone...has been a looong time since I posted anything but thought it was about time for a wee little update.

All is fantastic!! For those who don't know me I am 14 months post-op and had my surgery (vertical sleeve) with Dr.Garneau at Sacre Coeur.

I am down 175 pounds and still counting...what a journey...my life has completely changed...I now have a life...I LIVE my life.

For those of you waiting, I know it's tough but I waited 7 years!!! So worth it...waiting times now are alot less and it seems that the hospitals are calling patients in faster. So please don't discourage if you are waiting...your turn will come.

I posted a couple of "now" pics...Love to go shopping now. Went from a 5X/size 30-32 down to medium/small...crazyyyyy my 22 year old daughter and I share clothes now...she raids my closets all the time.

I'm part of a wonderful weight loss support group that meets monthly and will post soon the new schedule and location.

If any of you have any questions for me please feel free to ask away...

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Trust me its hard, I am not going to lie. I am 1 year out and my starting weight was 471 lbs. If I could do it so can you. You will thank yourself after surgery and the weight is melting off you. I am now 280 lbs ( I lost 60 lbs before surgery ). I am not perfect I still eat not so healthy food :/ but I love that I had the surgery. I need to actually jump start my weight loss I will do shakes with you! I am new on this support site, first time reaching out for support I am on Montreal ( I do not speak French lol ) if you have any questions or need any motivation hit me up

Hello...

I go to a local support meeting in Montreal (Ville St.Laurent) that are held monthly. The group is fantastic!!

I will post all the info again on the support group as well ,their is a walk to raise funds for "Obesity Awareness" for the Royal Victoria Hospital coming up on June 1st.

I'll try posting all that info tomorrow...
