sent my referral on May 7, 2012
went to the info session on Dec. 6, 2012
Met with Dr. Court for my consult on January 11, 2012
Had the duodenal switch with Dr. Court on May 6, 2013
so basically it took 1 year to the day since I first submitted my referral.

I m so interested at the same info as the wait time seems to be forever. I went to the information session I think in the beginning of February, met with Dr D. Sometime the end of April and I m still waiting for the famous call. I m getting discouraged and very desperate

hi everyone:
I'm just looking for an approx time line for the surgeries at RVH. Also, to see what other steps or people I have to meet before I get operated. I have a lap-band that is acting out and I'm desperate!
I went to a group meeting on May 16th and I got a call yesterday for my one on one with Dr Court on July 19th.
Any help from people who are currently waiting for an operation at RVh or have been operated ...or just are more informed than me :) would be appreciated.

I'm going for some test on July 5th and see the nut on July 8th at Sacre-Coeur.

I will definitely do that. I will send her an email this afternoon. She doesn't always respond right away but I will keep following up. My first consult with Dr. Denis was in September 2010 but I was only put on the list as of February 2011 because (and this never made sense to me) they couldn't contact me to inform me of the approval, they waited until my FU appointment with him)... I then went to see Dr. Denis every couple of months or so just to ask questions. He then told me I didn't have to come anymore and the next time he saw me would be when my surgery comes along........
I am waiting for the VSG surgery!!! I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Denis and I know I am in good hands. On my last contact with Martine, she said my file was still active. I believe because of my BMI, I will have surgery at the hospital. I have never been contacted by the hospital. now I am worried.... :-(
WOW 3 young children. :-) that's fantastic. knowing that everything went back to normal is great to hear. My job is very demanding (mentally) but I am sure I will manage. Best to get back into routine.

I'm sleeved for 11 months and could not be happier! I had my surgery at scare coeur, and if I had to have the surgery monthly for the results, I WOULD!
