The first tub i got was covered. however i never went back to get a second because it found it to be completely inedible. the taste is ok for some, horrible to others. worth looking into though ... can save you a lot of money.
I'm still waiting for my info session at the RVH...
Does anyone know if Beneprotein is covered by RAMQ? I was just informed by my NUT that it is, however she claimed that some patients have a hard time by the pharmacist claiming it's not. She also claimed that this is considered medication that may also be covered by private insurance if not covered by RAMQ.
Before I start calling and making my self crazy with RAMQ and/or my insurance..has anyone had experience with this?
I am sooooo happy I didn't take the vanilla ! Every time I have ever tried any form a nutritional shake in Vanilla it was also horrible! Glad you were able create a concoction that makes it bearable :-)
I took 2 boxes of chocolate and 2 boxes of strawberry. Each on their own were not bad, however when I decided to mix half chocolate half strawberry..delish!!
Surgery in 6 days!! woo hoo!!
Congrats to you too on your upcoming surgery..Good luck !
Hi Nerak,
I had my surgery on Sept 19 and Dr. Neville was amazing! She was so nice ... I started to cry in the OR and she held my hand and rubbed it until they put me out. I was operated on a Thu and she came to visit that afternoon, and the next few days I was in.
You'll love her!
Good luck :)
Hi Jen,
I'm in Ottawa as well and my surgery is Oct. 17th. I have met dr Neville (she did an endoscope on me and she will also be doing my surgery. I feel so fortunate to have her. She seems like an outstanding surgeon and person.

Hi! Congratulations on your surgery coming up. I am in Ottawa and the preop diet is three weeks of Optifast. I took vanilla and they are horrible!!!! BUT they can be rescued by making them with decaf coffee and ice or 2 tbsp of cooking cocoa. Most people seem to prefer the chocolate and lord I wish I had chosen chocolate too!
