OMG...!!! What a difference already!! Super-Fantastic job Derek!!! You're looking great!!
How did your apt. go on Monday with Dr.Garneau?
So should I expect anything major for tomorrow's nut appointment? Will they be weighing me...nobody seems to do that!

Hi Everyone!
I'm glad to see you all doing sooo well. For me, this week was a staal week. I only managed to lose .8 pounds. Dr. Garneau however gave me the green light for going to the gym so the weight should start melting right off this upcoming week. I'm 18 pounds from my goal. Only 18 more days to do it in. I can do this!

CONGRATS ADA!!!!
I'm soooo happy for you and your new life ahead. You'll see that time goes by really quickly after the meeting. Get ready, the "weight" is almost over and it's ready to start melting off!

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for answering my question. As much as I want to reach my goal weight, I'm terrified of not being able to keep it. It must be so weird to have the long forgoten feeling of hunger coming back to haunt you! But one thing is sure: being anxious about it will not help at all. Trust yourself and keep doing whatever you've been doing so far because it's clearly working!
Spring will come, the sun will shine again and soon we'll be complaing it's way too hot!!
Best of luck!
Ana

Hi Ana,
That is wonderful news regarding your weightloss. It is a major physical and psychologically milestone. Good for you! and riding your bike for 2km is nothing to baulk at. It is still a struggle for me to exercise everyday. I move everyday but I would be lying to call it daily exercise. I am still having a tough time with knee issues (never had knee problem prior to surgery and wl......go figure that my ol'age would catch up to me after wl. lol. ).
As for your question...I am thrilled to have achieved my goal and then some. I feel very comfortable at this weight and I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I can maintain this weight.....although my surgeon did prepare me for a ten pound regain. I still would be in my goal weight with ten pounds extra but honestly I hope I can keep the weight off. I have been up alittle and then I go back down. I am noticing that the last three to four weeks I am hungry more frequently and mostly in the wee hours of the morning. I wake up from my sleep from hunger. This is really the first time since my surgery that I actually feel hunger. I am trying to eat more snacks in between but today I felt hunger every three hours or so. I eat small portions but I am still eating more often. I guess this is where the real challenge will set in. I am quite anxious about it all to be honest. I am trying to take things one day at a time. I kinda knew that this day will come. Everyone talks about it on the boards but when you are losing the weight and when you are still a newbie you can't imagine feeling hunger like you did preop. It is so hard to get food down in the begining. It is a strange feeling to describe but it goes to say this journey is a life long commitment and struggle. I am staying positive despite my anxieties and I have decided to believe in myself. Again, some days are better than others. I will keep posting on Mondays as it is keepin me accountable. I will also have to start keeping an eye on calories if the scale moves but for now I am staying the course with what has worked for me for the last 19 months. I am getting antsy with this late spring arrival. I still have three feet of snow everywhere. Good grief! Cleaning the pool sounds great just about now. LOL.
