I know exactly how you feel. I did the same thing after things were not going to well for me with the lap band. I stopped going to support groups, stopped signing in here, etc. Don't beat yourself up too hard. :)

I would love to come along also. Maybe this could be something we can do as a small group? This year is impossible for me but I would love to do something of the sort in the future.....Let us know how it is!

You can do either/or. Privately it's quicker... and publically there is a bit of a wait list.
Topic: RE: Exercise and Motivation
ps.....just start and keep at it.....if you stop just start up again. No guilt, no negative self talk, just do it and the motivation will come back. If it doesn't well we still have to keep at it
( she says with a big smile on her face knowing that she is also giving herself the same advice!)hahaha

What does this meeting entail at Sacre Coeur? Is this a step pre-op?

A book that I really enjoyed and felt it was well worth the small investment is called Smart girls do dumbbells by Judith Wollin. It is weight training that you can do at home with small weights. She gives you a good description of the exercise with a picture. All you need is a small set of weights.....Canadian tire has them often on sale. Start small 3ls, 5lbs and then buy more as you get better strength. That is basically all the equipment you need along with a chair. I use this book alot and it is my go to book when I get off track and I want to start over again. Check it out on Amazon.ca to get a better idea of the book and price.

Hey Cindy! I for one am happy to see you back. I feel for you and know that we are always here to support you. This is a journey for a life time and yes most of us post our weekly losses and brag about having it all together but honestly, this is a daily on going battle. I too still struggle with exercising and staying active. My health has been stable but I still struggle with major fatigue issues and just getting through work and house chores is a challenge. I still at times beat myself up and that self critical perfectionist side of me gets the better of me sometimes....Other times I manage to keep my thoughts on my achievements and my ongoing journey to a better more balanced lifestyle.
Losing 115lbs is everything to be most proud of. Keeping it off is another momentous achievement. So try and focus on that and if you lose more well that will be icing on the cake my friend. I for one am most proud of your achievement and I'll always be here to support you not matter what happens in your journey. We are in this together! and this goes out to all my OH support group.
