I finally got the call for my pre-op appointment scheduled for Feb. 6th.  They hospital called the next day and told me my surgery date is March 4th and I need to start the Optifast Feb. 4th.  (2 days before my pre-op)  I asked where to get the Optifast and was told I should already have it.  Then they told me I need to call the Rockland Clinic.  I called the clinic and they said I need to call the hospital.  Where do I get the Optifast?  The surgery is being done at Sacre Coeur Hospital.

I know that there is a weight management clinic on Boul. St Urbain in Montreal, and I believe the cost is about $100 per week. You can find their telephone number online.

your surgeons office doesnt supply?  the pre-op department is likely seperate and not know what the routine is.  I would call your surgeons office direct.

When I went for the pre-op nutrition course they told me that it was no longer Optifast but Idealfast that you had to take? I'm three weeks into the 6 week liquid diet and I've been getting it at the Rockland MD clinic for $196.00 per two-week supply. Taste is not bad, equivalent to a McDonalds shake, but I don't like sweet things to begin with so I'll be damn glad when I'm done with them.

I finally found it at the Rockland Clinic.  Apparently I needed my husband who is francophone to call.  He was put straight through to the right people.  But I got it and I start tomorrow.  I got the Idealfast since that is what they are using.

That's ridiculous that Sacre Coeur charges almost 200$ for the opti-fast, when the Royal Vic gives it free!
