i dont think there is a set limit. just as much as you need to keep you on track. most are really low in calorie and as long as you are eating them without any fat from frying or dips, you are fine. The ones to limit are the tomato, carrot, snap peas, since they are a bit sugary. broccoli, cucumber, cauliflower, radish, cabbage, lettuce, etc ... go to town. lol. I didnt think to ask lisa about this, but you might want to check it out. Walden farms makes a 0 cal, 0 fat, 0 sugar salad dressing ... that might REALLY help.
good luck on your pre-op and surgery. you are just about through the tougher part of the pre-op, and the pre-op is probably the hardest part of the whole process.
Thanks Justpete for the reply. I can never go through the entire 4 optifasts I have 3 per day I don't know if that's a problem or not and I have one salad per day with tomatoes and onions seasoned with black pepper sault and vinaiger
I m not sure if what I m doing is ok or not. I don't want to have any complications in the operating room. Today I ll force myself into 4 shakes of optifast

I'm starting my 2week pre- op diet this Tuesday. I can only attest to the instructions I was given by my dr and the nutritionist. I also need to have 4 shakes a day ( mine are Idealfast) and 3 cups per day of veggies raw or steamed and The only seasoning I can use is Mrs. Dash. If you are not sure about your limits in veggies..maybe u can ask your dr or a nutritionist who has expertise in WLS.
Good luck !
