Hi!

I was sleeved nearly a year ago! (July 17th, 2012) My starting weight was 311.5, my Surgery weight was 277.6 and my current weight is 195.4. It's been a crazy wonderful ride so far, I'd l ike to loose another 30-40 lbs at least... but it's definitely slowed down, like everyone said it would ;)

I was operated at Sacre coeur by Dr Denis. I was in for 2 nights and back to work the following tuesday... it's been smooth sailing..

HI,

Barbara always good to hear about your progress, you and Ada have been my inspiration throughout my adventure.

I was sleeved sept 22nd 2012, My starting weight was 204, does not seem heavy to most, but at 5 ft and struggling with diabetes, it was my solution to a right of passage.  My father died at 67 of complications due to diabetes, his father died of diabetes and my aunt is struggling with dialysis at 63.  At 45 yrs old active and alive, I couldnt get my diabetes in check, and meds were not working.

Like most, the weight came off quickly, I was unfortunate to have had complications, due to my gallbladder, as well as constant reflux due to a slow sphinter.  The tests were grueling, and another surgery Feb 20th (gallbladder).

I am feeling great at 121lbs...... extremely active..... I still have trouble walking by a mirror, cant wrap my head around the weight loss.....does anyone else have that problem? still feeling fat in a thin body?

How do you feel about the sagging skin? almost falling off the bone....lol.... is anyone thinking of plastic surgery? I dont have enough and it is livable.......

I too was operated at Sacre Coeur by Dr. Pierre Yves Garneau..... excellent care, left the following morning......my eating has dramatically changed.....i dont crave the same things.....I actually dont get hungry..... my body growls to tell me its hungry, but I dont smell food and say I am hungry.....

Would love to hear how others are getting along........

Robyn
