Sticture Update- Just got home from the RVH ER.

Well just when I thought I was on an upswing.... I'm not. Eating has become unbearable again. I was vomiting the 3 bits of chicken I ate last night when I saw blood. Being scared that I ripped something rushed to the RVH emergency room.

I saw several members of Dr.Court's team. I saw Dr.Neville today. Had an GI track test. You drink barium and they take a video(like X-ray) of the barium going through your system. The Gastroenterologist said there was tightness. I had already had an appointment to have an endoscopy on May.30th.  I was sent home(only because I could keep liquids down) and I will be going for my endoscopy Monday morning at 11am, rather than staying at the hospital and looking at the walls for 3 days. I am being told it can be a stricture OR an ulser. They will know for sure on Monday. Will keep you updated!

Note: EVEN with my complications, I don't regret my surgery one bit.

I'm sorry to read that you are having complications but I'm glad that you seem so well taken care of by Dr Court's team.

Really sorry to hear that. Do you know what can cause the stricture or ulcer?

I am confident however that you are in GREAT hands. I ADORE  Dr. Neville. Too bad she's leaving in July.

sucks that this is still happening to you.  was hoping it would be cleared up already.  hopefully good solid news on monday so they can get it fixed!
