Good Luck - The Optifast is kind of gross at first but you get used to it quickly. I have seen the benefibre and rortein at Walmart and you dont need a prescription

Most pharmacies carry it, you just have to ask for it (generally found behind the counter) or they can order it and it comes quickly.. however, as many have mentioned, it doesn't taste great and honestly it's not that much grams of protein... shakes contain much more....

Thanks.  I've heard that the protein level is not very high.

Do you have nay other recommendations?

You can also order it from well.ca.    I found it kind of icky so I threw away the can,  plus it was only about 7 grams of protein.    The Unjury chicken soup flavored powder was what I used early out of surgery,  they also have an unflavored one but I didn't try it.     I spent so much money trying so many protein shakes after surgery and they were mostly all pretty gross.   Now I only do the Premier Protein ones ( you can get them at Costco).  They're ready to drink shakes,  about 25$ for a box of 18,   30g of protein per drink (325ml),  160 cals,  1g sugar.   Tastes like chocolate milk to me,  I still drink one for breakfast every day because it's an easy protein boost.

Welcome and congrats on the upcoming surgery which is TODAY!!! :)

I found the BENEPROTEIN like Ada said at Jean Coutu.

The first couple of weeks will be harder on you mentally then physically but you will pull through it. Take your time, sip your water, take small walks and rest a ton. You will be on your feet in no time.
