Dr Gagner- Feb 18th...anyone else?

Has anyone had Dr Gagner or having surgery Feb 18th?

I had my VSG done by Dr. Gagner and I would recommend him to anyone! He is an amazing surgeon.

I know he is awesome, I am worried about there not being enough post op help from him, did you find that to be the case?

There is very little post-op help from him, unfortunately. At first, there was some follow-up by email - he answered my questions, his secretary sent me the 3-month lab tests papers and then his reading of the results. To continue to have my lab results read and interpreted by him though - at 6 months, 1 year, etc. - they wanted to charge me 100$ a pop. That would cover only a brief email from Dr. Gagner telling me if my results are ok and advising on supplements to take if necessary. For 100$ you don't even get to see him. So, I said thanks but no thanks and I now get my follow-up done by my family doctor. It's not ideal but it's working so far.

My partner is having surgery with Dr. Atlas at Rockland on Feb 18th.  Is that where you are too?

I have not yet had surgery with Dr Gagner but I am hoping to !  I am coming from Winnipeg Manitoba if I can get provincial approval.  I hear he is a great surgeon.

Amazing surgeon! I had surgery Jan 2nd, DR GAGNER is the best of the best!

I am so excited, a week tomorrow!  Does he give much info, help?  Do you get to talk to a NUT?  What vitamins should I get?  I feel very alone with him and Veronique other then the e-mail attachments they sent me.
