So.. I'm 17 weeks out.. god the time has FLOWN by! I feel fantastic! I'm down like 89 lbs! WTF!

Yesterday at the gym, Lindsay and I were talking and exchanging our "Curves" .. I went home and snapped some shots, please excuse the extremely messy hair and lack of make up.. it's been a tough 2 weeks with sick kids and activities coming out the wazoo! I think I spread myself too thin!!!!

I'm anxious for my surgery!  I've got my pre-op bloods all done, and was told that I should be operated around end February / March.  It will be easier to run around after my baby who will most likely start walking by then or on the verge.  :)

The pre-op blood is usually on "valid" for 3-4 months.. soo.. you might be sooner than you think!!! :) :)

Did you get referred by Dr. Mercier?

I have 3 kids (2, 4 and 6) I know what you mean! They are my reason for doing this! :)

Oh wow... 3 kids.. you got your hands full eh?

I didn't get referred by Dr. Mercier... I don't know who he/she is?

I actually had a lap band put in, in March 2009, had lost 60 lbs, put back 30lbs, and then gained it all back during/after pregnancy.  I'm having the VSG by Dr. Garneau.  I got a call from the hospital when I was 8 months pregnant and so they told me to call them back when I was done breast feeding which didn't happen so I called them 2 weeks after her birth lol.  I am definitely doing this for me and my daughter as I will then have the ability to run after her, do activities with her as right now even getting on the floor with her is proving to be difficult.  But I'm also worried about the surgery and potential complications (I'm a single mother).  I'm sure everything will be ok though... :)

I take it you have a lot more energy with your kids?

Full is an understatement! I choose to be so busy though.. so I guess it's partly my fault ;)

Dr Mercier is my OB/GYN, he referred me to Dr. Denis, who did my VSG.

Trust me, this is the BEST thing you will ever do for your self, have no worries or fears, embrace the experience and enjoy every minute! it is SO worth it! I'm 18 weeks out and I'm down 89 lbs! It's FANTASTIC! I went from a size 24/22 to a size 18/16 in 4 short months and a size 4x/3x to a 1x/XL! Around my rib cage was a 40/42 now a 36!!!!!!! :) Last years winter coat: 4X this year 1X! :D

Can't wait for you to find your place on the loosers bench! :)

Thank you!  This time I want to stay on the loosers bench for good!! lol  That's why I have to make the time and go back to the support group meetings, they really helped (for me).

I'm glad to hear you are feeling great and no doubt the best NSV is clothes that were once your size, are now too big...

Have fun shopping :)
