I'm starting pre-op diet and wondered how much Optifast is?  I'll be doing it for 1 month.  Does anyone have any leftovers?  I live in Gatineau, but will be in Montreal on Monday, Septemer 17.

Rockland sells it for 52$ a case and they recommend 4 boxes per 2 weeks and lo carb veggies as well... They say to do 4 shakes per day, I only did 3 shakes per day and I was TOTALLY fine! I felt full! Hope that helps..

Yeaaaaahhh!! Great for you!! You must be over the moon ( I know how you feel).
I am 2 weeks before you.  Are you going to be operated at the Rockland Clinic or at Sacre Coeur Hospital?
Last week I went to pick up my Opti-fast and I paid 208$ for 2 weeks.  Just to let you know I have done my research and I was told Chocolate is the best for flavour. (so I am told, I start on Wed).
wooohoooo:)

are you guys not covered through medicare?  I thought the optifast pre-op stuff was covered since its really needed for the surgery (to help lessen liver inflammation so it's not in the way as much for surgery).

No it is not covered by Medicare. You have to pay for it.

Elena, will the surgery be at the clinic or at the Sacre Coeur Hospital?

I'll be having my surgery at Sacre Couer, with Dr. Atlas.  I got called today to say my surgeon is Dr. Atlas not the other surgeon they were going to move me to.  Yay!

Wow you must be thrilled.

I'm a little scared of doing it at the clinic. I haven't heard of anyone doing it as a day surgery.
I think I am getting cold feet. Looks like a hospital stay
would have been a better route.
