Surgery scheduled

Hi, I'm a little nervous again.
I got the call for my second surgery. Having another VSG on Sept. 6th. Since it's the second time I only have to do one week of optifast. Thank goodness, last time was a month. Yuck.
I can't remember how I drank them to make it taste ok. I blocked it out. lol

I guess that since I know what to expect I'm not as nervous but then for some parts I'm more nervous. What if it's not a success and I can't loose the rest of the weight !
At the same time I do want this, i came a long way and want to finish loosing.

If anyone has any tips or tricks on optifast please let me know. I forgot it all.
Or what can be eaten too, I remember eating a lot of pickles. :)

Thanks
Cindy

Hi Cindy!
I'm sorry, I'm confused, are you having a sleeve following a band removal? Or another sleeve? Sorry.. I've never heard of that before!

I was sleeved by Dr Denis only 3 weeks ago... it's going FANTASTIC.

On my optifast I ate cucumbers like they were going out of style and peppers! It's any low carb veggies! No carrots, or potatoes..
Broccoli is fine too.. they say steamed or raw only..

Hi Cindy,

Ok...so I'm surprised and confused too...are they doing the vsg all over again or the second part that they do in some cases...? What happened? I know that your weight loss slowed down a bit. Was this the only option?

As for the Optifast...as Barbara stated I had the same veggies but also mushrooms (cooked) and yes pickles too.

Anyway let us know what's going on and keep us posted.

Hugs,
Ada

Hi. I used to make cauliflower soup no oil or any potatoes. It was in February so it was still cold. But you can eat all the veggies but no carrots or potatoes. I also put on my optifast at around 10 o clock an espresso and make it like a iced coffee was delicious. Good luck on your surgery.

Hi again,

I'm having the VSG again. Dr. Atlas told me they left it too big basically. So if I don't have it done again I will have a very hard time loosing the rest  and will most likely gain weight back. I have already gained back about 5 - 10 lbs :(

The other option is the "second" part to the surgery wich is still going to be a possibility if this doesn't work. But this way it still leaves more options after.

Thanks for the Optifast tips, I have a total blank on how I did it at work too. Or how I prepared it.

Thanks everyone
Cindy
