Little Update - Still Pre-Op

Hi Everyone,
Better late than never.. but Happy New Year!
I had placed myself on the RVH wait list in 2007 I believe.. and had forgotten to take my name off the list after I had my lap band surgery. So I was called in December to be informed of an information session which I attended yesterday. As of yesterday I am officially on the government's wait list to be operated on within the next year - which might be faster than being on the wait list at Sacre Coeur which I am on as well...
Now a little curve ball was thrown at me about 6 months ago when I got pregnant and my little bun in the oven will be due in May, so I am not really in a rush anymore but would definitely appreciate being operated on right before I would be done maternity leave, or a little after.
So for anyone who has been on the RVH wait list for a long time, they are starting to do these information sessions that last about 2 hours (presentation from Dr. Court, presentation with the nurse & presentation with the nutritionist) that you must attend and then if you are still interested they will place you on the official wait list.

Another little update.
Dr. Garneau's office called me (Danielle - nurse) and said that she was ready to set up an appointment for my pre-op tests. Told her I'm due any minute (monday for that matter) and therefore she told me to call her back once I am no longer breast feeding baby. I asked her how long I would have been operated had I scheduled an appt right then and there, and she said that I would have been operated withing 4 months.
So although I'm also on RVH's list, I think I will stick with Dr. Garneau.
