Home and sleeved

Hello OH peeps,

So, it's done! I got sleeved on Tuesday, came back the next day and now am dealing with all the usual issues of sipping as much water and protein as possible, managing the pain and expelling the last remains of gaz from my body. I am definitively looking forward to being over this hump and where things get better but all in all, am not complaining (too much)!

Cheers,

Monica

Welcome to the losers bench Monica.

I'm glad everything went smoothly. The gas does take some time but the more you walk, the better you will feel. Sip your water, take your time and you will be all healed up in no time. I'm excited for you! Can't wait to see how you are doing at our next get together. Take care and don't hesitate if you have any questions.

So glad to hear it went well, and that you are recovering nicely. I almost had surgery this week, but no operating room was available at Hopital du Sacre-Couer, so surgery has been rescheduled for December at Rockland. When you feel up to it, I'd love to hear about your impressions of Rockland because my husband is worried that its lack of an ICU may be cause for concern should something go wrong. Be well!

I had surgery at Rockland in Feb. They were g reat very attentive and well taken care of. I was told before if there are any coplications they just transfer you to Sacred Heart by ambulance. I had surgery in the morning and was out at 7 p.m.  If you are there longer than 8 p.m. they they transfer you to Hospital.  They  were great.  Doris QC.

Hi,
I'm soooo pleased to read this update  I thought the big day was today actually.
I was able to use the gas-x strips to help with the gas; man they were very helpful.
You don't have to swallow, they disolve in your mouth; like the listerine strips.
If you need to chat with other 'sleeved' folks, I have a few friends, one who had it done in Montreal.

Make sure you are walking and sipping,

Way to go!!!

Hi Monica,

Can't believe it's done. Not too long ago we were all sitting and having sushi and you were wondering if this day would ever come. You did it and now the next wonderful chapter in your life is beginning.

Looking forward to seeing you and take care of yourself!
