Another follow up with Dr. Atlas tomorrow
Hi all,
I have another follow up appointment with Dr. Atlas in the morning. I have to bring him the CD from my x-rays to see if I have an ulcear or if my stomach stretched out.
I have heartburn every time I eat now. And I find I'm eating way too much also. And not lost much weight since 4 - 5 months.
I'm really nervous to find out what he has to say. I'm worried I have an ulcear and worried he might say I need to have the bypass now.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Cindy

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your encouragement. :)
Martine's office moved in Sacre-Coeur. It's in the basement now at Medecine D'un Jour. Confusing to find !
Well after seeing Dr. Atlas, I don't have an ulcear, but my sleeve is too big. He's not sure why but most likely they left it a little big to begin with. So I have to be re-sleeved. He prefers this to doing a biliopancreatic derivation. That way he can still do deriviation later on if needed. (better not be needed)
I have lost 56.6% of excess weight which is on target but he would like to see me loose more so after being re-sleeved he said it will be really a tight sleeve.
I'm glad there's something that can be done, but I'm nervous about having it re-done too. The first time went really well. So I hope the second one will too.

Hi Cindy,
That's great news! Having the DS done has worked for others but IMO, having the sleeve done a second time might work out better. However, I'm still intrigued on how such a small stomach could stretch so much? I know he may have left it a little bigger but you would think that it wouldn't stretch that much especially a year and a half after ??? Anyways, do they have you slated for another surgery now? Do you have to go through the process again? Please let us know how it goes...
