Monday Morning Weigh-In

Hey guys,
I'm back from the cottage and red as a lobster! LOL We had about 5 days of nice weather and 4 days of rain so my body took a bit of a beating yesterday from the sun and I will suffer for the next couple of days too but it was totally worth it. On the food front, the cottage lifestyle is a hard one for a post-op. It was tough to keep the good habits going while at the cottage but I gave it the best I could. I had gotten ready a bunch of vegetables and greek yogourt dip for my snacks and had a bunch of fruits for my yogourts but the chips and candies took over. I really found it hard to make the healthier choices over my week but at least my restriction helped me keep my guantities in check. I also drank some alcohol so that might have thrown me off. Anyways, this week I weighed-in a little heavier than I did before leaving the cottage but I am still down 3 pounds since the weigh-in 2 weeks ago so I have to get back on track here. I had hit the 100 pounds lost before leaving for the cottage but I now have 0.8 pounds to go before hitting it again. I wanted to lose it before going to the cottage, which I did, so I consider it hitting my goal. Now my next goal is to be under 300 by Friday. I don't think I will do it but I will give it everything I got this week food and gym wise!

Have a great week everyone!

Hello,

I'm down just over a pound this week. Still not getting past the 230 lbs mark. But slow is ok too.

I will be home for the next couple of weeks since I'm havign kidney stones removed. OUCH
And I will have lots of problems moving around with the tube they put in so no exercise for me. Hopefully boredom won't lead me to munch too much. I have to be careful of that.

Derek - Glad to here you had a good time at the cottage and some nice weather.  Don't be too hard on yourself, it's hard to stay on track out of your regular routine.  You'll get back down to your 100 lbs lost in no time.  And your under 300 goal is within reach. Your doing a great job.

Have a good week all.

Hi everyone,

Derek, It is absolutely fine to take a diet break and have some good time from time to time, it is was will prevent you from quiting on the long road.  The gain that you are experiencing might just be due to water retention. It will disappear like nothing.

Cindy, I am glad to see that it goes down. You will see this 229 soon.

As for me, I spent time in Winnipeg again over the last week. It does make it a bit more difficult. Anyway, I did lost 1.5 lbs last week. I am in the 230 and it does make me feel good.

Have a great week and keep up the good work!!!

Hi Derek!

I'm glad you had a great vacation! You will lose that 0.8 pounds very fast! I weighed 226 yesterday morning, which is 1 pound away from my first mini goal. I hoped to reach 225 by June 30th. 2 days left....we'll see...

My weight has also been doing some strange things.  TOM craziness I think... Sigh.  Anyways  I gained almost 10 pounds overnight and was soooo bloated I felt terrible.  There were no changes in my diet, except that I have been eating better- which was frustrating.  I lost that 10 pounds almost over night again-  well it took 2 days.  So I am back down to 254.6 pounds.  My goal was to weigh 250 by the end of July... hopefully I will be there.

On a more personal note, I am having my IUD removed due to weird complications... I was told I could NOT get pregnant 2 years after the surgery so took the drastic step in getting this thing in the first place.  Since I will be moving back to TX, and the weird "common"  symptoms I am having it only leaves me with one choice.

Hopefully the removal will help my weight loss along.  I also am going to go see my endo dr. soon to re-check my thyroid levels, as I am sure those have changed in the last year as well and I need to see how my goiters are doing, make sure that wont require another surgery soon.

I will be adding a lot more activities to my week when I go back home... I have looked into tap dancing lessons, tai chi, and kickboxing as well!  I hope to lose as much on my legs as possible before that surgery which is tentatively scheduled for next summer (pushed back from Feb)

I will miss Canada but hope to be back up here around Dec. time!  I will keep everyone up to date with the weigh ins!  Don't forget me!!!!
