Hey guys,
So I am 2.6 pounds away from hitting 100 pounds lost since the start of my liquid diet on February 10th. My goal is to hit that by next Monday. Another important number is that I am 9.2 pounds away from being in the 200's for the first time in a long freakin' while. My goal for that is July 1st. I have two important goals coming up. Let's hope I hit them!

I also forgot one important number! I have lost more than 50% of what I wanted to lose so I am less than half way there. I hope to reach my goal of 220 pounds (~190 lost), by January 2012.

WOW!

So much as changed since February!
Isn't life getting easier without that extra load?

Keep up the good work Derek!

Actually you know what. You would think that I would feel lighter on my feet having almost lost 100 pounds but I don't see that much of a change. Add 100 pounds on me and I'm sure I'd feel it but I do see a difference but not as big of a difference than I would have thought. Thanks for the encouragement Joel!

Fantastic Derek. Would you believe last year this time you would be 100 lbs. lighter. You are truly great. Keep it up. I will weigh in the morning. I just got back from 2 weeks of camping. I feel great.  Lost some.   Doris  QC.

Way to go Derek!!!  You are doing so amazingly well!  I can't wait to welcome you to the 200s!

Its funny you mention about not feeling lighter.  I mentioned something similar to Simon the other day.  I was carrying a 30 pound bag of dog food and it felt crazy heavy... I was thinking, sheesh I used to carry around me this much more just 3 months ago... I don't really feel the difference... then I thought, I used to ccarry around more than 10 times that much!  If you were to add that to me now, of course I don't think I would be able to even stand up, however back then I felt as I do now... I just took up a bit more space :p

I tried on a large t shirt and was surprised that it fit!  I can remember crying over not being able to fit into 5x clothing once upon a time and praying when I went clothes shopping there would be at least one 6x left in something decent I could wear!

My big goal coming up in to reach 250 by the end of July!  Hopefully I will reach it!  By next Feb I hope to get under 200!  (Thats when I plan on having the 2nd plastic surgery, so I will be trying my best to get to that point!)

Keep doing what you are doing, its working awesomely for you!  For me, I am trying to eat better than I had been and am astonished that when I actually stop the drinking 30 minutes before eating... not just the 20 minutes suggested, that I can actually EAT SOMETHING!  And!  it stays down!  I guess my body just needed more time between eating and drinking!  I can drink 15-20 minutes afterwards... its the before part that gets me.

Hello all,

Derek, when I saw you this week I could'nt beleive my eyes... I have been telling everyone how great you are doing! I have no doubt in my mind that you will reach your goal!!! I heard that weighing yourself too often is not a good idea, I remember when I did a diet I was weighing myself almost everyday and it was amazing how the numbers fluctuate from day to day, so it makes being sicouraged easier sometimes so I don't encourage anyone to weight themselfs too often, once I have my surgery I will keep it to 1 day a week during the first 3 months and then I will weight myself every 2 weeks... The scale drove me nuts at times and I don't want to do the same once I get my op...

Wishing everyone the best!!! Keep up the great work! :)

Derek,
What an amazing accomplishment so far. I leave for a couple of weeks and all of you are doing great on your journey's. Keep up the good work. Life will only get better. As for feeling the difference with the weight loss, well it takes time. You've always been very active and sometimes your mind needs to do some catching up with the rest of the body. I am really finding out this summer how much lighter I actually feel. It is in the little things that I notice the big changes. I am confident this is the big week for you!
