One step closer.....

One step closer to surgery!!!   I finally got my pre-op testings done on Tuesday and Wednesday...    I went to pick up the machine used to find out if I have sleep apnea on Tuesday, slept with it that night (well slept is a BIG word....) and brought it back on Wednesday morning then met the bariatric nurse Martine (she's sooo nice) for the info session, questions and blood tests.  Then, I went to the pneumology department and had other tests done for my lungs.  I still have one more appointment to go to with the internist and i'm looking into going to meet a nut in my area before surgery as suggested by the nut in Sacre Coeur.  Now, I wait for THE CALL for a surgery date....    Since I had my blood tests done on June 8th, I should have 3.... 4 months to wait now....   It's becoming a little more real now....   I can't wait to have a date.   I'm thinking September or October, right?

This is great.  It is such a relief to see thing move.

Considering that Dr. Atlas doesn't perform surgery in July and beginning of August, your estimation of September/October  should be very accurate.

That's right Anne! Your time has finally arrived! After so many months/years of waiting, you are almost there. Surgery will be done sooner than later. Those months pass by really fast. Enjoy your next couple of months and then after that it's time to get healthy and to start your real life!

Can you tell me about the sleep apnea test?  I haven't had mine yet, and I assumed you had to go sleep at the clinic.  Derek - we live in the same area...did you do yours at home or in Montreal?  Also does the surgeon's office need to refer you?
