Sacré Coeur Hospital Card...

Hope you're all haveing a wonderful weekend!!

I was just wondering for the ones that have been operated at Sacré Coeur if you need to get a hospital card?

Every other hospital I've been to want their card but so far nobody has mentioned it. If I need to get one then I will need to arrive earlier than my appointment for my pre-op tests and get it.

Just wondering...

Thanks!

Hi Ada,

Yes you need a card from Sacré-Coeur. However, they will do one for you when you arrive and register. I would suggest to give yourself 15-20 minutes as last time there was a lot of people in line to register.

Hi Ada,
I second what Nathalie had to say. Get there early to give you time to run around. I think I got my card done twice; once for surgery and once for my post-op. You don't have to worry too much about it but I didn't have one either. When Martine or Danielle give you the call, they will let you know exactly what you need to bring and when to be there. All you have to worry about is being on time. I am excited for you. Your time is coming. :)

I've had Carole phone me to let me know what time to arrive. I arrived at 7 and was admitted - they did the card then and I did not see it until I was leaving.
Edited to add, had surgery there OOP so there's likely differences..

I had my surgery done at Rockland and when I went for my follow up they told me I didn't need to registar. Just to go straight to the floor to seee Dr. Atlas.  I never did get a card.  Doris QC.

I see. I would have liked to have my surgery at Rockland. Did you stay overnight there?

No I went in at 730 surgery was at 10 and I went back to the hotel Providence at 7.  They don't keep you overnight. If they run into any problems they send you over to Sacre Coeur.  I had Gastric Plication .       Doris QC.

 Hey Ada,

I just went to Sacre-Coeur last week for my pre-op tests so I have fresh info on how to get your card!

Go down that long corridor at the main entrance. At the end there's an information booth. Turn left, there will be an elevator to your left. Go to the 3rd floor. When you get out of the elevator, turn right and follow the sign for 3e H (it's not far, a corridor on your left). Once you are there, you'll see that all doors have numbers, go to door number 16 and there you are! It took me less than 10 min to get it done, but get there earlier in case there's a crowd.

With that said, I'm not sure you'll need one. I did because of my sleep apnea test, but if it were just for the blood test I wouldn't have needed it.

You'll love the nurses at the bariatric surgery office, they are incredibly nice.

See you on Saturday for sushi!!

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the info...exactly what I need to know. Just wondering if the apt. takes very long. I know I'm doing blood work and because I'm over 40 an EKG. Will they do anything else? Do you have a date booked yet for the actual surgery?

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!
