Hi everyone and hope you are all having a wonderful evening.

I spoke to Derek about an hour ago and he is doing great!

He went into surgery at 8:30 and was in recovery by 11:30. He's in good spirits and said he's feeling fine except for some gas pains...but I hear that is very normal to feel post-op.

He thinks he'll be getting out of the hospital on Sunday so I think I'll drop by and see him on Saturday.

So that's it for now guys...have a great evening and I hope it stops raining soon!!!

Thank goodness all went well for Derek..that is awesome news.

When the time comes that he is up and walking if he flapps his arms...like he's doing the chicken dance...that will help move the gas.  It's funny looking but it works and when you feel that gas pain you will do pretty much anything to get it moving.

Thanks for the update :)

Thanks for the update Ada! Glad to hear all is going well. An investment in gas-x strips are well worth it in the first few weeks post op! Send him hugs and my best!
It should be soon your turn ADA!

Ga s X didn't help me either at that stage.  The walmart brand, equate gel cap extra strength stuff did help me a ton tho.  They are right beside the gas x at walmart.

Joe...I am totally with you...bring on the chicken dance Derek :)

Hope you are feeling well :)
