Liquid Diet and Fire Update

Hey guys,
Cathou and I had a scare yesterday when an electronic device set on fire yesterday and burned down part of our dining room. Everyone is OK, animals included but there is lots of smoke damage and we will be relocated to a new condo while they get everything back to normal at our place in the next 4 to 6 weeks. The liquid diet kinda took a side step yesterday as everything I owned was charred a little bit so I couldn't make my shakes. I ate out for breakfast/lunch and supper trying to make low-carb, low-fat choices. I had a ceasar salad with chicken for supper and some eggs for breafast. Let's just say this fire could have waited another 2 months or so. I'm back on the wagon today but the numbers have stayed the same since Monday so I have to kick it up a notch and cut back on the salad. 13 days remain! I'm excited but stressed at the same time with everything that just happened. Wish me luck guys!

I am so grateful both of you are alright! You certainly didn't need this to happen. Keep the chin up( as you seem to always do ) and try having just shakes for a couple of days and see if that helps to move the scale.A few more days......

Glad to hear that it was not worst.

I don't think that your day on solid would be too bad, the important is to keep the fat to the lowest possible as one of the goal is to clean the liver.

You are a fighter, you can do it.

Hey Derek,

A real bummer to hear about the fire but the most important is that the two of you as well as your animal family are ok.

Keep at the liquid diet and try not to stray...tough love time...you need to keep at it and go into that surgery as prepared as you possilbly can. You're almost there and this is just a test of your resolve and commitment!!

Keep the faith my friend and all will work out.

Hugs to you and Cathou!
