monday morning weigh in
Way to go everybody on your progress!!Very inspiring.
Derek I saw your latest vlog...was wondering about something...was it at the meeting you had a Sacre Coeur that they told you how much protein to take in in one day or just you researching it because I have no clue yet about things like that.
Thanks and hugs to all!!
Ada
Hi Ada, Saw your question to Derek and thought I'd send you a message. When you have your nutritional counselling you will be told exactly what to eat pre-surgery, if anything other than Optifast and raw veggies, and post surgery is the same. It is all spelled out as to how much, when, how much protein powder to add to your jello, boost fruit drinks, etc. It is extremely easy to follow and surprisingly not difficult. I had lapband surgery last Friday and am doing really quite well and haven't cheated once!! I am very proud of myself. Don't worry though, you will be told everything and given written directions, too. Good luck!! Karol
Hi Doris, Good for you. You're going to ace this surgery next week!! Thank you for your messages of encouragement. HOw long will you be in the hospital? Sacre Coeur? Dr. Atlas was super last week. The entire experience was really positive and everyone at the Rockland Clinic so professional. I know his Sacre Coeur team will be the same. Stay strong!! All the best, Karol
Congrats Doris, you are doing great with this optifast! It is pretty much the same post op for at least three months so you'll already have the hang of things.
Like Joel I am maintaining at 150lbs! I am getting more carbs in and I am more hungry in the evenings now. I am doing more physically so I guess I need more fuel in the body. I am still somewhat not confident with my abilities to maintain this weight. Will these darn fears ever go away?.....
Nathalie you are rocking that sleeve of yours....way to go girl.
Cindy don't despair although I can just imagine how you must feel. I agree with Nathalie. Go through your food journal with a fine tooth comb and try and change up your activity level. Maybe your metabolism is getting the best of your efforts.
For my preop buddies....losing weight without our tool is really hard and complex. Just do your best and don't be hard on yourself. The most important thing to learn is better eating habits and better lifesyle choices. Eating out happens and you'll see postop that too comes easier!

To-day I am very anxious. 2 shakes down 2 to go for today. only 4 shakes left. by cracky I ate every one of them so I have my protein in. This evening will be long. oh well. So close, Doris QC.
