I figured out since I like to do things on time. So I had my Shake at 9  then 1 then 5 then 9. It worked out perfect. I think planning your meals are half the battle.  I did have 2 coffee with milk and 2 tea with milk. I wasn't a bit hungry. Oh yeah and I drank water.    Doris QC.

Congrats Doris.

For me, I can only take 2-3 shakes a day right now. I am geeting my other energy from veggies. I'm drinking 2 litres of water on top of the shakes per day.

Keep it up. The next couple of days are the hardest but you will blow right through them!

Remember Derek it is important to get the protein in.  first then if needed do the veggie. but to get the shakes in first. , my Dr. in Ottawa spesified the importance to shrink the liver. Day 2 has begun and 3 shakes to go. So far so good. Hang in there.

Hi Doris,
The shakes I'm taking have 30g of protein per scoop. I am currently taking 2 scoops per drink so I'm defnitely taking more protein than you. 2 shakes=120g of protein. I'm safe! LOL

That is good.  I just read mine 22.5 protein per meal.  I did buy a container of Body Fortress 100% Premium Whey protein. 50 g. per serving.  for after my surgery. You are getting plenty. good for you. I read on one of the forums that people have problems with their hair falling out.  Not getting enough protein.  They specified when eating   eat protein first.  Just thought I would share. Are you taking any vitamins or supplements.  I was told A WEEK BEFORE TO STOP THEM.  ALSO MY CELEBREX FOR MY ARIT. sorry Did you get your instructions yet. I got mine . My problem is that they are all in French no English except for the instructions before surgery. anthesist . I can read some of it but the big words are a problem, They don't have it in English. I had the Dr. fax all my results to Mtrl.

Hey Doris,
I met with the nutritionist back in September so they explained it all to me back then. They also sent me the instructions for before surgery at the beginning of January. I have been taking a multivitamin a day and will also stop a week before surgery. I knew about the hair loss. It's very common. Diane spoke to us about it at one of our suppers. Protein first, veggies next and carbs last. Your plate should consist of 25% protein, 25% carbs and 50% veggies! That's why the nut visit is good for people who haven't done their research!

I didn't have to meet with NUT   All my follow up will be done in Ottawa at my Obesity Clinic. I am setting up a NUT in Pembroke and the Nut in Mtrl is calling me 2 weeks after surgery. I have taken vitamins and supplements for over 20 years.  What I have done is each year for the past 5 years I get a print out of my blood work and my ECG.  Then I adjust my eating and supplements according to where it needs improvement. My blood work is much better than it was 5 years ago. So taking them sure has paid off.

I did get a print out of my blood work this year. I even got the results of my nuclear heart testing.  My heart is normal and all my blood work is great. They did 3 pages of blood work. passed them all.  My knees are bad my weight of course. my blood preasure and the shrinking have to go. lol I have a binder and I keep everything.  That is one reason I would have liked the diet sheet in English.  So I can refer back. I hope this info will be some help to you.   Doris QC.
