Monday weigh in!
Hi, second week in the row, we are going through a freezing Monday
I had another good week, I am down another 2.5 lbs from last week. I am very happy.
I am going in Montreal for my follow up appointment with the doctor. I want to ask him for a referral to have my hernia removed. I hope that he could help me having this hugh mass removed fast, as I am losing weight, it shows more and more.
I can`t wait to hear from you my friends.
Nathalie

Hi!
Good job Nathalie! You're doing very well and can be very confident for your follow-up visit!
I didn't go out much these last days because of the artic weather and I miss it very much...Will defitely try to go ice skating before the weekend. My weight went up a bit, but it's nopthing to worry about since my activity level has been near hibernation state lately...
And what about other distinguished board members???
Have a nice weeek!

Hey Nath!
Congrats on the 2.5 pounds. Let us know what the doc says about your weight loss and about your hernia removal. I wish everything goes as well as you want it to go.
Joel, don't worry about the weight man. Like you said, the activity level was not present and well it was simply too cold for your body to want to lose. Next week will be better. A +/- gain of under 1 pound during maintenance is OK with me. You are doing great! Keep it up!
I will start my weigh-in again with you guys next week. Only 8 1/2 days left of solid food before I start my liquids!!! Yayyyyyyy!!!!!

Hi, pretty calm around here, dud to cold weather???
Thanks Nathalie of keeping the weigh-in alive, and congrats on your 2,5 pounds, you are rocking that sleeve!
Derek, I can't believe you are almost on optifast... it is really coming fast for you!
I am like you Joel, not moving very much in that cold weather... but +/- 1-2 pounds is good maintenance. It is the same for me, I lose 1-2 lbs during the work week, then gain back 1-2 during the week-end!! So I stay the same !
I am going to see the plastic surgeon tomorrow. I would really like to have new arms for the summer!
Hubby is still vomiting every other day, when he try to eat meat. So he stays on shakes and purees. But he is feeling very well otherwise, having lost 65 lbs...
Have a nice week , and try to keep warm!
((hugs))
Diane

Hi everyone,
sorry i'm a bit late but I wanted to share the start of my weight loss... Since stopping all pop since January 1st and watching what I eat, i've lost 7 pounds!!! I'm so proud of myself.... Since meeting with dr.Atlas in dec. 08, i gained 15 lbs and i didn't like it at all.... and i was afraid i would have to be on Optifast for more than 2 weeks like my dr. said because of the weight gain... So I decided to try to lose some weight while waiting for my surgery date and i did it!!! Plus, i am now under 300 lbs again.... Now, if i could only get the call for my pre-ops!!!!
Talk to you again soon....
Anne

4 weeks without pops is great!...and I do know stopping pops is no small business, they gave me a hard time too!

Hi guys....
Been really busy lately so I haven't checked in as often. I am also doing well with maintenance and exercise. My knee is still an issue but that is another topic in itself...I am sticking around the 147-151 pounds range, so I am happy with that. I am increasing more my carbs to maintain that weight as I kepted losing and I was not looking so well physically. Who would have thought I would actually say that one day! LOL. My bloodwork is good and I am still on the waiting list for a bone density scan. It has been more than six months!
Nat- way to go....you are doing so well. Good luck with your followup appointment and the hernia issue. I will keep you in my thoughts.
Derek: OMG I am sooooo excited for you. Not too much longer and you'll be on the bench.
Anne- Congrats to you. Every pound lost preop is a major hurdle. Celebrate your success and efforts.
My maintenance buddies! Keep posting as I love hearting from you and since we each have a different surgery I find it interesting to compare notes along this journey of ours. Diane keep us posted on the plastic surgery process and good luck with the knee issue. Have a great week everyone!

Hi all!!!
I am glad you are all doing well! I miss everything from up there so much right now!! I am happy about my weight loss as I am finally down to 304 pounds. I know those 4 pounds are going to give me hell too since I want them gone so badly!!
I just can't wait to weigh in the 200s!!! It has been since elementary school that I weighed so little.
I went clothes shopping and was a bit dismayed about jeans. Down here it seems all the trends are to make the jeans with slim legs... well I am sorry but it is not a good idea to put bigger women in slim legged jeans. Even with the curvy cut ones the waist was too big and the legs too tight. I was ecstatic when I tried on dresses!! size 18/20!!!!! AND I was able to try on clothes at Old Navy!!!! I can now sit cross legged and am feeling much better about myself.
I have had some slight problems with sugar cravings- but am noticing they go hand in hand with the level of stress I am facing at the moment.
Still waiting on the results of the bone marrow biopsy... hopefully it will be nothing and I can have my panniculectomy!!
Toodles,
Sarah
