My surgery was cancelled...
I had blood tests for pre op plastic surgery drawn up last Monday with my gastric surgeon's office....
When I saw my plastic surgeon he noticed that my eosinophile count was WAY higher than it should be. normal range being 0.0-4.0. Mine was a 14.0!!! Sooooooo this means I have something called eosinopheilia (sp?) WHich in its own just means there is a large count of that in my blood. Weird thing is ALL my other counts were perfect- red and white blood cells were normal. So he referred me to a hematology oncologist... which yeah freaked me out just a little bit. Come to find out a higher level of these eosinophils can be related to just about anything happening in my body. If I have hayfever, allergies, arthritus, and infection, etc.... all the way up to Hodkin's, leukemia, and bone marrow cancer... sooooo needless to say I am hoping for arthritus, since allergies, thyroid issues, and being on my period at the time of the test have all been ruled out since the levels are more than 3 times what they should be. I had more labs drawn, and they want to do a fecal test- hee hee to make sure I dont have parasites... seeing as how I havent left the country nor do I eat su****hat is un cooked... I am not really thinking thats the case... but hey>>> whatever keeps me from the bone marrow biopsy they want to do.... yes they are scheduling me for a bone marrow biopsy if these blood tests dont come back with anything. Simon will be coming down here for me during that, as I dont want to tell my father the whole truth. I also am not letting most of my friends on Facebook know because I dont want to scare them for something I just know is little and silly.
My plastic surgery is delayed is all... so I do not know how long I will be stuck down here, which completely sucks. I miss my home up there. :(
So if you are the praying type- I sure would appreciate anything you can throw my way. On a positive note- I did have my tsts drawn 8 months ago and this was not a problem then- so whatever this is we are catching it SUPER early!!

This is a small detour in your way to a "skinny you" but I am sure to be able to find an even better road to get there.
It is always stressfull to have a situation like yours with a lot of possibility ... the wait time to find out seems so long. However, you know that they are doing everything to find out and you have to continue to think positive in the mean time.
I will for sure pray for you.

Hi Sarah,
I'm so sorry to hear about the delay in your surgery but I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. You may not see it now and be bummed about it but sometimes these things, these glitches along the way are a blessing in disguise.
Just let the doctors do there jobs and fix whatever the problem is and then continue forward. You are a strong person and you have been blessed with a strong and loving support system around you. So enjoy your time in San Antonio and be glad that you're not freezing your tushy off here like the rest of us.
Thinking of you my friend!
Hugs,
Ada
