Bad stomach pains

Hi everyone,

For almost a week now I have had really bad stomach pains. Feels kinda like gas pains. A few days ago I was so bloated I looked about 6 months pregnant.
I was constipated also, I have gone to bathroom but not like I normally do.
But I think It's gas in my stomach, I have no clue why this is happening now since I haven't change anything in my diet.

So I was thinking of gettins something like Gas-X do you guys know if we can take that after the surgery?

Could it be that you ate something that could create more gas like broccoli or cauliflower or cheese...

I know that I feel very gassy when I eat these types of foods but I'm still pre-op...

Sorry you have those pains... There is no problem to take gas-X I took it after surgery, I did it often in the first months. I sometimes get bloated when I eat many raw vegetables, cucumber, broccoli, etc...Also if I eat too much fiber but not enough water, I may become bloated. Hope you'll feel better soon!

Cindy, I also take Gas-X for gas. I personally like the dissolving strip the best. My surgeon recommended it. I know with the RNYers, gas is an issue post op. It was more so in the beginning months but has resorbed itself(LOL) with time. I now just have to take the meds only once in awhile depending on my food. Legumes are the worst culprit for me. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for all you support !
I took some gas-x for a couple of days and thankfully I'm finally feeling better.
Didn't figure out what caused it in the first place, but I will be paying more attention to see if I can find the culprit.

I have never had such pains, not even after surgery.
