Reverse psychology lol? -12 pds
Hey everyone, hope you all had great holidays. Wishing you a constuctive & joyful 2011!
Ok, well i do not know why but it seems like since i know i am getting the surgery i have been turned off by food. I am guessing it is kind of a normal reaction.... The good thing is that i lost 12pds over the holidays lol... And i though i would gain during that period but no it is the total opposite, i havent been able to over eat and cravings for junk and comfort foods have reduce by at least 50%... Although i have been quite lazy lol!
I also noticed that i am not as anxious about surgery and i am wayyyyyyy more patient about getting a date... By the way, i wanted to share that my frind Caro who had the surgery in June has now lost an amazing 98pounds and she is doing great! She is now selling her clothe that are too big lol, what a great accomplishment!
Ok, i am talking it away but hey i missed you guys and i wanted to see if any of you experienced the same phase i am going through?
Cheers all :)

But best of all is the mind set you have. I'm happy to hear your nerves are calmer now.
I had the same type of reaction to food before my surgery, I went through phases were food turned me off completly. Or certain types of food would.
Keep up the good work
Cindy
If only I was able to manage going downwards instead of upwards.
Keep up the amazing work girl and you'll get your surgery in no time.

-12 pds sure is a great achievement during the holiday season! And noticing anxiety going away is even better! Having Caro around is a great thing as you can foresee a bit what is coming and how well things unroll for your friend (and the vast majority of us)...
Keep up the spirit!

Grats on your 12 pounds!!! My weight has been lingering for the last few weeks. I saw my gastric surgeon on this last monday. He is super happy with my progress and told me to calm down about the stall. He said I am ahead of the game in my total weight loss and he is proud of my accomplishment. Wish I could feel the same way- but sometimes I get wrapped up in the numbers to go and forget about the numbers that are already gone.

i think that most women get wrapped up in those numbers. We always want to do better and often we forget about the most important numbers which are the ones that are gone! You can easily reverse this by marking the pounds that you lost and keeping it on the fridge or a place where you will view it everyday! :)
