Straight Up! Looking for a handholder.
Hi from British Columbia,
Long Story Short:
I will be reversing part of my DS at the end of January 2011 (beginning of February perhaps) with Dr. Gagner (if I am totally lucky).
I have had major complications with my DS since day#1. Dr. Gagner has so graciously agreed to correct my situation. He did not do my first surgery.
I will be totally alone in Quebec by myself. I have no family or friends in PQ and I am not sure how long I'll be staying, I assume it would just be a few days and then I'll be able to travel home.
I need some advise about where to stay for a few days (cheap hotel needed) and if anyone knows what area would be close to the hospital that Dr. Gagner operates out of (I'm not even sure of that at this point). I think I might only be in hospital for a day maybe, but I'm not even sure of that. I assume they'll want me to recover in a hotel for a few days after that.
So, is there anyone around that has some time for a lady from BC on her own in Montreal? It would be very nice for someone to keep my husband updated for me. He's not able to travel with me for a variety of reasons that I'll get into once I know you better.
Thanks in advance.
Susie

Hi Susie,
Althought i am not able to help you, i can give you a reference where to stay. On the street behind the hospital, there is a convent. There is an aisle reserved for people hospitalized at Sacre Coeur. It is not expensive, very clean and confortable.
My mom stayed there while i was in the hospital and she was very satisfied.

Hi Susie;
I just wondered how was the best way to get in touch with the Sisters about the accomadation. Do you book ahead of time. What do they charge. What about meals. My DH is coming with me. ! month from today I have my surgery. I can't wait. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. Doris QC.
I am having Gastric Plication.
