Advice for diets i should go on to loose a few pds prior to surgery ?
Hi Kessey,
I've been low-carbing it since October 20th and have lost a total of 25+ pounds. I'm making sure my carbs don't surpass 15-20grams per day. It's not easy because you must cut out sugar, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and all those good things but once the weight starts coming off you get excited. Hope that helps.

Hey Derek,
oufff carbs are my weaknesses ... ahah... i had done a diet a couple yrs ago which was only protein bars shakes protein based soups ships and etc... but i am so sick of that diet since it was 80$ a week and all i could eat was their product and 1 regular meal a day which didnt feel like much (chicken breast or tuna in a salad) burkkkkk after too much for too long lol...
i am willing to cut out carbs and eat proteins and lots of veggies, is that what u do? give me an exemple of a days menu for you if its ok :)
Cheers! Kessey

Hey Kessey,
Here's a regular day for me.
B - Protein Shake in the Morning with half a frozen banana and about 6 frozen strawberries.
L - Double chicken breast ceasar salad with bacon bits but no croutons (I don't go easy on the dressing. I hate dry salad).
S - Steak with mushrooms, onions and asparagus
Other alternatives...
B - Sometimes just a coffee, omelette with ham and cheese and veggies
L - Double chicken Julienne salad, 2 (beef or chicken or pork) souvlaki with side salad (I like salad for lunch).
S - Sautéed Shrimp in Garlic, Chives and Butter. Chicken, Homemade Beef Brocolli, I bought some low-carb pasta for my pasta cravings...
It's worked good so far but I celebrated on Monday by going out for supper and have gained ???5??? pounds... but those Fajitas were worth it.
The way I see it is I try to follow the meal plan. When something comes up, supper invite with friends or family, movies, or whatever, I don't hold back. I try to moderate my portions but that doesn't work for me just yet. However, come the next day, I'm back on my meal plan so even though you may gain a bit of weight, as long as you are back on the plan, you will lose more than you have gained in the long run and that's what works for me.
