Monday Morning Weigh-In
Hey Gang,
How was everyones week? Mine was pretty good food-wise. I only had a couple of mishaps here and there but overall I stuck to my plan. I lost another 7 pounds this week for a total of 27.4 pounds since October 20th. I need another 12.6 pounds to hit my first mini-goal in this whole process. Hoping to do it before Xmas. Here's to another great week gang!

WOO HOOOO!!! wow! 7 pounds in a week!!! That is so awesome! You should def. get to that goal if you keep going strong like you are! I am so proud of your success!!!
As fr me... meh. Yesterday I weighed in at 311 which I was excited about! but Saturday I worked out on my bf's sister's elliptical machine and WAYYY over did it... I am feeling sooo sore, and I know I am retaining water :( BOOO Funny thing was I only did 5 minutes... but boy did it ever kick my hieney!! Anyways, this morning it was right at 313. Which I was fully bracing for. Hopefully this extra retention will be gone by the next couple of days.
I have noticed lately that I seem to get ravenous late at night when Simon and I are in bed watching TV. Commercials are not the culprit because we watch movies and netflix... So, I am not sure where this new surge of "hunger" is coming. I know its all in my head because I dont feel hunger pains the same anymore... I really am not hungry. Something I need to watch this next month is all. Well can't wait to hear about every one else's weeks!!!

Well it's still going down Sarah so that's a good thing. Cutting the carbs is what's working for me. I'm rolling around 15-20 grams of carbs per day and that's what's working for me. I hope you see better numbers next week.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Derek your numbers are great! Can you imagine how you are going to rock that sleeve post op . Sarah don't fret, there are days you'll retain more than others....but good for you for getting on the elliptical. Five minutes is long when you just start out!
As for me, well my weight is still all over the place. Today I am down 4 lbs. I am a little dumb founded as I even indulged in ripple chips with chive cream cheese dip (sorry guys for the details). My bowels did empty more this week as I am on antibiotics so maybe once that treatment is up I'll probably be up a few more pounds. Have a great week everyone!

You met your first mini goal and I know you can do your second one no problem.
Sarah - 5 minutes felt like forever for me when I got on my eleptical trainer. Don't think I even last the full 5 minutes. And the treadmill going a fast walk not even running only 10 minutes. So that's great that you got on it.
Brenda I hope things will be more stable for you and it's nothing too serious that you need antibiotics for.
I lost 1 pound this week. So now I'm down to 251 lbs.
But did lots of walking yesterday. We helped out with the food drive in my town and walked for about 4 hours collecting food, up and down the stairs. But last year I had such a hard time huffing and puffing going up the appartments. So I'm glad it was easier this year.

Sarah, great that you did the elliptical, that's my favorite exercise... It is normal to see the numbers get up a little when we start exercise more, don't worry it will get down...

Brenda, don't despair, your weight will stabilized... sometimes when we're sick, we don't eat much, or the antibiotics like you said...
My DH had his surgery thursday, everything went well, he came back home saturday... It is weird, he is always hungry, and want to try to eat... I have to check him, because he is supposed to be on full liquids, and he is trying to eat muffins and bread! and it get stuck and he's complaining it hurts! I don't remember being hungry at that stage... He's having some buyer's remorse now... I think we all pass this stage sometime...
As I was running around last week, hospital and all, I didn't eat regularly, and mainly protein bars and shakes... Except yesterday, Grey cup party for the kids... wings, pizza and nachos, and I ate much more than usual... I weight each day, and it is always between 148 and 150, so I am happy, I try to stabilize at that weight.

I had relatively good week too...We celebrated my son's and daughter's birthday...Two parties (one with grand-parents and one with neighborhood friends and classmates). Last days food diary was awful: B-day cake pieces, thick'n juicy steak, pizza, pogo, chips, slurpy, wine, more wine and some other atrocities...I weighed 187.6 last week, got down to 186.8 on the 26th, and standing at 187 this morning...Limited damages after all...fully worth the fun I had...But will definitely try to behave myself now...Santa's is coming soon!
