Welcome Kessey !!!

Feel free to ask as many questions as you can. There's a great bunch of people on here.

Have you been waiting for a long time?

It's normal to be nervous as the date gets closer, everything will be good.

Hey Cindy,

i can see the positiveness from all of you out there... :)

I met with the doctor in July, i spoke to the clinic today and she said i would get my surgery date before may 2010. They will call me in Jan/Feb to give me my appointment with the nutritionist and the group meeting...

It seems sometimes i want to back out of it and sometimes i feel like this is the key after so many diets and crazy other stuff ive tried...

Sorry to highjak the thread but... Diane, how is your husband? Did the surgery go well? How's his recovery? Best wishes to both of you!

And Kessey, welcome to our little group and don't worry, second guessing yourself is par for the course, we all do it at one moment or the other throughout this process.

Hi Kessey!

Welcome on board!

Choosing bariatic surgery will surely change your life, and getting it done at a relatively young age is even better! The journey may seem a bit scary but please remember that it will be supervised by a group of experienced health specialists that will make sure that your surgery has excellent chances to be a succes before actually proceeding.

And, as previously stated, members of this board would love to help you in any way we can!

 Welcome Kessey!!

You have found a great group of people on this board!!  We try to meet in person every few months, and are talking about forming a cooking club!  It is impressive to meet with those that are maintaining and to hear everyone's story.

Like you I was getting more and more nervous the closer the surgery date came.  But I remembered why it was I wanted the surgery and pushed forwards.  I too would have it done again in a heartbeat!  The surgery has given me a tool towards being the person I want to be.  My weight isnt who I am... but it sure has changed a lot about me!  I noticed that I am generally much more happy now without the stress of the added weight.

I know you will do fine!  Can't wait to hear about your upcoming surgery and hep support you through it the best that we all can!!

Welcome again!
