A few days short of a year...

Ok, so I posted some pictures taken last night.  These are 5 days short of my 1 year surgaversary...  I wish I had pictures from before , and maybe I can get copies that the doctor's office had taken!  Here's hoping.  Anyway, 205-ish pounds down... in one year, its crazy!  I am looking foward to my panniculectomy in Jan. but, I am scared as well.  I will finally have my stomach skin removed, which will help me feel much more normal.  The doc said it is almost 20-30 pounds just in skin!!!  What a relief to have it gone.

I find food still as scary as ever, and now I live in fear of the scale going back up.  It is still going down, but at a much, much slower and healthier pace.  I am trying to grasp the fact that it is not normal to lose 20-30 pounds in a month and that a weight loss of 5 pounds in a month is still a triumph!

Clothes are wonderful!  Being allowed to fit into clothes that are trendier and more my age has always been a big thing for me.  Here's hoping I dont waste too much more money on trying to look cute!

I still have several more goals for myself.  I have the 3 total plastic surgeries for skin removal, and several smaller milestone types of goals.  The journey is more than half over!!!

Sarah you look great.  I expect to hear the same from some of my family and friends.  Now if my aunt was alive she would have said. Eat your going to sick if you don't.   Eat some more. They loved us to death.  Expect to hear some negative remarks. I have heard them in the past.  I am readfy. Its just their way of being insecure.     Doris  QC.

Sarah, what an accomplishement and you still have more to come. I know that you will achieve all that you want with this journey. The fears will take time to subside. They have been around alot longer than your successes. Retraining our thought processes isn't an easy thing but it is doable. So, take stalk in what you are doing and what you have achieved so far and keep the faith you'll get to where you want to be. Happy surgaversary my friend!
