Sorry you were sick this week Brenda...  Remember before surgery, when were stomach sick, we will lose some weight too... so now, it is even worst because we cannot eat that much after to get this weight back... I think that explains that 3,5 pounds... I am also with Derek, your body will stop by itself some day, and maybe then you'll get some weight back to adjust... I don't know, but I figure that our body was on the losing mode for so long, it takes time to stabilize... I am sure you are doing the right things and eating more carbs and calories should do it... I don't know if it is the same for you, but one part of me says I should try to slow down losing now, but another part wants to see the number on the scale go down again... Very mixed up in my head!!!

Hi!
I think Diane is right about "split mind". We've put so much effort in losing weight over the years, finally found an effective way to do so and now we're fearing gaining weight back as hell...Even if one as reached a healthy weight, not losing as much weight as during the preceeding months may be seen as a setback.

I'm exactly in that situation: I had a good week (no lightheadedness or malaise, sufficient energy) but was quite unhappy when scale showed a -0.2lb drop...Would a couple pounds drop and dizziness have been better??? Evidently not!!! Guess I can't have my cake and eat it too ;-S

Nathalie, Wow, you are losing big time!!! Congrats! Isn't it special all those little changes we see everyday... and it is not finish...Those are the best rewards, more than a number on the scale...You are on the right path, continue like this!!

Congrats Nathalie! Nice loss!

You're right, car seats bring big joys...When I took my Mustang out of storage last spring, I realized that I was way too far away from steering wheel when as my seat was set at the farthest position...Congrats again for this NSV!

For me, this week was good but I screwed up on the weekend...I weighted myself on friday and had lost 1,5 lbs, and today I am up one lbs, so 0,5 lost this week.  I know why, I ate some chips and candies during the week end, even if it was not a big quantity, I also ate many fruits, so I came back with high carbs and sugar...I am always hungry, I indulge in fruits, it's good but I think it is too much... I should go back to adding more proteins to my snacks, cheese or nuts...But my sweet tooth has awakened recently...It is a hard thing for me to control... I should have had the bypass, maybe dumping will have made me more afraid of sugars!!  During the weekends, we don't have regular hours to eat and that makes me prone to grazing... I need to work on that!!

Have a nice week everyone!
