Hi Nathalie,
Congrats on another 3.9 pounds loss. It's great to be able to still enjoy the things we liked before surgery but in moderation. Keep up the awesome work and you'll reach your goal sooner than later.

Hello everyone,

You are all doing so great!!!!  Congrats to you for another week with losses.  I can't wait to hear all about how you go back to slowly eating more "regular" foods.  I think it's something we are all interested and worried about.

I had a crazy weekend, it was so much fun. I drove down to Toronto on Friday afternoon with a friend to see my brother. We drank a bit too much on Friday and was not really great on the food choices on the road. I ate lots of nuts, way too many really. So hard no to munch while driving....
But I walked at Niagara falls for about 8 hours straight. Up and down the streets and the hills. It felt great to be able to do it. Only be about 9 at night was my body really getting tired and sore. Mostly the back of my legs, and in the past my feet would be screaming after only a couple hours for sure.
Woke up with sore calfs too, but that's ok.

So even after all my exeses this weekend I still lost 2 pounds.  CW is 263.3
I'll take it !

have a great week everyone !

Ouf, you had a very busy week end!  Congrats on another 2 pounds lost forever! I think one of the important thing of keeping the weight moving is the exercises...you did well with all this walking.  I think that is the problem when we want to lose weight without surgery... we are too heavy to move and it takes so much time to lose enough to be able to even take a walk...The surgery  helps us to lose more rapidly in the beginning, and we can then do more, and activate our metabolism! Isn't it great that you are able to do all those things now... Big congrats on your good work!

Hey Cindy,
I know the street your talking about in Niagara Falls. I was there 2 months ago. It was an all-day workout! Congrats on still losing 2 pounds even with all the indulgements. At least you know what you are having a tough time with and you know you have to be better at it. Next time less nuts ok??? (Ok that sounded perverted). Keep up the awesome work. The 250 is sooooo close.

Hi Cindy!

Congrats on "walking off" the wine, the nuts and a extra 2 pounds! Fall weather is nice in the Niagara area, lucky you!

Good job!

Note to self: I really miss those Buffalo wiongs with blue cheese sauce I had in a café near U of T a couple years ago...Got to go back sometimes!

Hey Joel!
Glad to see you had a nice and busy weekend. Congrats on losing another 2.2 pounds this week even though you are trying to maintain your weight. If you're losing it's because you've still got a bit to lose. Just make sure to take your protein so you are not losing any muscle mass.

Keep it up buddy!

Hi everybody,

So happy to hear that you are all doing really well and that you all had a great week.

Losing is fantastic but figuring out how to maintain is the catalyst to this whole journey. I know that the actual surgery is the main thing that helps us but we still have free will and that is what scares the c**p out of me!! I see all the positive results from all of you and that gives me courage.

Ciao,
Ada

Hi everyone! sorry I couldn't post yesterday. I was on the road all day doing home visits and I got home late.
Joel: I certainly know where you are coming from. I am struggling with maintenance and I am trying to figure out what I can eat with 'regular' food. I have cut down with my protein supplement but I started losing my hair again big time so I reintroduced a few weeks ago. I find it hard figuring all that out with the malabsorption issue of our surgeries. Practice makes perfect they say!Congrats on the loss and so so close to goal. The band is waiting on the sidelines to greet you when you get there!
Diane: another great loss this week! You've past me big time and I am so happy for you. You certainly deserve all the joys you are experiencing at this time in your life. I am anxious for you to reach goal!
Cindy and Nathalie: Both of you are doing so well. You are both inspirations for preopters....
Here are my stats: LW 159 CW 156 (minus 3lbs). I am a little concerned about the weight loss. I know it is slowing down big time but I am still losing when I need to try and maintain. I've given myself the 150lb goal of lowest weight so I still have some leeway but it is a strange feeling to stop losing weight after a year of continually losing weight and at the same time knowing you need to stop losing weight! What mind games. Have a good week everyone.
