Hi everyone,

I am now two weeks in my new life. Everything is going fine and everyone so supportive around me. I love my new life and it will only get better.

Yesterday was a rainy day and in my previous life, I would have stayed on the coach and probably did nothing. I felt bad not moving so I drove to the shopping center just to be able to have my daily walk.  I was very proud of myself.

On Monday 30, the day before my surgery my weigh was 350.3, last Monday it was 339.6 - 10.7 lbs off.

This morning, my weigh was 333.7, so I lost another 5.9 lbs last week.

Have a beautifull day everyone.

Wow Nathalie, things are going great for you!  Congrats on your weight loss, and big congrats on staying on track with your exercise plan...

I don't like this fall weather, since I've lost weight, I am always cold, and just wanted to stay under the "couette" all day!! But I had problems with my  computer's router so spend almost all day trying to figure it out!  Friday I went to " marché Jean- Talon" and I bought all kind of fresh fruits and vegetables, so cooking and freezing was another big part of my weekend...

I am happy for you that you have so much support from your relatives, that is really important to succed!

Last week I stayed the same weight, but I catched up this week!
LW 185  CW 180 lost 5 lbs... Yeah!! 30 lbs from my ultimate goal, but 20 from a normal bmi! Hopefully I'll get there for Christmas...It will be the greatest gift of all!

Have a nice week friends!

((hugs))

Another 5 pounds Diane? Congrats!!! Isn't it great to be on the negative side of things again.

30 pounds by Xmas? The way you're rolling I know you can do it. Keep up the gym and you will become that hot mama you always wanted to be even though you've already achieved that status in my eyes :D.

Hot mama ??? Oh yeah !!!  here I come! I am shopping like I never did in my life, and buy clothes I would never have thought I could wear some day...  Today I was in a waiting room, and a man looked at me and make me a big smile, and another one in a car at a red light smiled too... I am always suspicious why are they looking at me and smiling, is there something wrong?? Guess I will have to get use to it, because I am a new hot mama !!! LOL ( joking, I am a mature, married woman...he he he...) but I bought those high cowboy boots anyway!!

Well Spenza.... guess I will have to pick you up and bring you to Les Promenades to take a walk during the rainy day.

I think there is someone else from Gatineau.  We could go for a glass of water one of those days.

Hi guys!

I weighed myself this morning and was very happy to see that I'm back on track; -1.8lbs... Yeah!

I went clothes shopping (again!) this afternoon because I rapidly run off of stuff to wear to the gym. I had planned to get one more pair of long Reebok training pants. I had bought one pair last week (large size because XL was definitely too big). Today, I brought a medium and a large size pair in the fitting room, and...found out that medium fits better than large!!!

The 340some pounds guy in my head now wears medium size pants and large t-shirts...Still flabergasted about that!

(Note to self: Stop talking about clothes shopping, missy!)

@ Nathalie: Very good progress! And training at walking in shopping malls will become very useful in a few months, trust me!

@ Diane: You're really melting away! You're flying  towards your ultimate goal, good job!

Have a great week!

Congrats Joel on your weight loss this week!  I am like you, still a 320 lbs woman inside who doesn't believe she can wear smaller sizes. I keep going shopping and trying things and being amazed about it...

And keep talking about shopping, missy !!!LOL I loove it!  I went to buy some another pair of boots this afternoon ( always dream on wearing high cowboy boots) and before I tried them , I tell the saleslady that maybe they won't fit at the calf, because of my jeans... and they fit perfectly ! why did I need to justify myself... Old habit...

thanks for your support!

Hi guys! Finally got to the scale this morning....LW 165 CW 163.5lbs so minus 1.5lbs. I think things are definately slowing down for me........it is kinda of scary even though I have reached goal and achieved more than I could ever imagined. I am now faced with a new challenge of defying my doubt and overcoming my fears. I have never really tracked a food journal since my food portions were so small that I found it was more discouraging to find out I was getting so little calories in a day.I am rethinking that now since I am at goal. Diane and Joel I am anxiously awaiting for both of you to reach your goals and from your stats you are both well on your way!
Diane- I want a picture of these sexy boots!
Joel-We are definately rubbing off on you..... you are having way too much fun shopping! LOL...
Nathalie- what a great loss and koodo to you for your creative solution. I am so not ready to move my workouts indoors just quite yet.
Like Diane I am also freezing my ass off with this weight loss and have no idea how I am going to get through another cold winter. Somedays it is even painful. I also work at a hospital so folks, you can't get a warmer place to work and I am even cold there! So can you imagine how cold I feel in my 130year old house! The only way I can warm up is taking a hot shower. I am definately investing in a twin size duvet for the living room. I will be happy when my intern temp readjusts. Have a great week guys!

Congrats Brenda on your weight loss! Even at goal, a few pounds more is always a little reward... I understand your fears, as I am coming near  my goal, I am  getting anxious about this new adventure of maintaining and stopping weight loss. It will  yet be another way of eating, and I think we have to learn about it step by step like we did in the beginning of the weight loss. It's freaky to realize how much changes we have to make in a short time frame...
But you can do it !  I think the food journal is a good thing, I did one at the beginning, then stopped, but with the growing appetite and portions, I'll think I'll have to do it again, to establish new habits when the goal will come.
For the boots, I don't know... My husband don't like them they are too " western" for me, because I don't live in the country he said... but I love them... And they are not so sexy, I am just happy that some boots fit over my calves!
I just bought an electric blanket yesterday, didn't try it yet, but hope it will help my freezing bones!
