NSV, regular clothes stores...

A few days ago, I realized that I can (now) enter a regular clothes store without  feeling anxious or paranoid!!! Same goes for sporting goods stores...

What a relief! I still look for XL clothes first though...still not realizing that large size fits better on me...even if the salesperson says so!, I tend to think he or she is wrong,  not knowing what size I used tu buy less than one year ago.

So much new things to learn and deal with!

Hey there Joel! What a wonderful victory. It is such an interesting process don't you think? I am always so amazed at how life changes with this surgery in so many tiny and big ways. Keep having fun and reaching new joys and amazements my friend. You deserve it.

Congrats on your nsv! It is funny how old habits die hard... Feeling "normal" is such a big nsv!

I too went shopping yesterday, and I am still anxious about it... Before it was easy, i went to pennington's... Now, I can go in all the stores, I don't now where to stop! The first thing that I do when I go in a boutique I never went to is checking what is the bigger size they got, to see if I am ok to shop there, even if I know it's ok... And I am paranoid, yesterday, I went to Guess, and the clerk said Hello, and I found he had a strange look... I was always looking in the mirrors, to see if I am small enough to shop there... The thing is I don't feel different in my body , and I have to check in the mirror to see that I am thinner than I was, I still don't believe it...

It is clearly a life changing, mind and body journey!!
