It'ts that time again... Monday weigh-in!

Hi everyone, hope you had a nice weekend, despite the fall weather... Mine was very busy with shopping with my  boys for the school ...and very expensive too!!  I shopped a little for me too for fall, and I was so surprised that I have dropped another size since a month ago! Brenda, tell me, is it possible that the sizes drop faster when we are approaching our goal? Because this summer I bought some fall clothes when I was in the US, I took 1 or 2 sizes smaller than what I wore and I tried them yesterday and they are getting too big!! I love to buy clothes ( but you have already figured that out, isn't it?  LOL)  but I cannot wait to buy clothes I'll  keep for a long time, even if they are not on sale. Now, I always shop on sale, cleareance etc, zellers, wal-mart... I saw a very cute dress at winners, but it was 69.99$ ( not expensive for a Calvin Klein) but I didn't buy it because I don't know how long it will fit. I am tired of wearing the same 2-3 outfit to work every week... Or maybe I am becoming a compulsive clothes buyer, instead of a compulsive eater ???

Ok, I know it is not a big problem compared to the ones I had before, but  to all the pre-op, be prepared to spend a lot for clothes, as the sizes drop sometimes so fast you don't even get the chance to wear   some sizes!

Hope you are not tired of all my ramblings, but I have to talk to someone about these, because my family is really tired of it... " ok, you lost weight, but stop talking about it, we are not iinterested in what size you wear..." But I cannot help it, it is so marvelous everyday, I find some little miracles in my life everyday, after being , like Omar said, in a jail for 20 years, I want to tell the all world I am free now!

Well, if you are tired, don't read my posts, as I am a person who likes to talk and share my thoughts...

Weight-wise..... This has been my all-time best week... I lost 5,5 pounds, never lost that much in a week since the beginning... Go figure!  and....I am not obese anymore, just overweight!! I know it is just matter of numbers, but I'll take it anyway!

And you, how are you this monday??

Have a wonderful week my dear friends!

Love you!

Diane

Hello,
My weeked was pretty good even with the bad weather. :Played mini-putt, bowling and pool all in one day!  Bowling was a little hard on the body, my knee was killing me and now my legs are sore from it. Strange !!!
But it was so much fun, I can't believe I actually had enough energy to spend the whole day out, I never would have been able to do it all before. Even if they are not super active actvities I would have been tired faster.

It was a good week weight wise too.

Diane, I know exactly what you mean about family not getting it. My friends and family are tired or hearing me talk about it too. I get so excited when my butt fits in a chair it didn't before. Or clothes that never fit before. I get all amazed at how big my old clothes are. They don't get it or they are just tired or hearing about it.
But we get it !!!  And are always happy to hear and share success stories!
Congrats on your amazing lost this week. You are doing great!

Have a great week everyone

Congrats on your lost this week Cindy. Being able to do activities that used to be hard to do is such an amazing feeling. I remember feeling the same way a couple of years back when I had lost weight and I am looking forward to that same feeling for the rest of my life in the year or so to come.

Wow, great weight loss Cindy!  And it is always amazing to see  we can do more everyday! Congrats for being active. You said it is not very strenous activities, but you were up and walking, not sitting on a sofa... That is great!

Thanks for your understanding!

Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the ridiculisly amazing loss this week Diane. I bet being "overweight" has never felt so good! Keep up the great work for the weeks to come.

As for talking to us about your weight loss and your achievements, we are all thrilled to hear about  them. In a way, it keeps us motivated to keep our journey going and to look up at what's there to come for us. Lucky for me, I have clothes to fit me until I weigh about 250 pounds so shopping won't cost me that much but I can't wait to buy clothes in a normal store at normal prices.

I guess I can post about my week in here to. I don't have a clue how much weight I gained or lost but this week was a good week. I was careful with my food intake and I tried to make healthier choices rather than taking the easier option. I played 1 hockey game, walked a full round of golf, and went hiking for 4km to find a fishing spot with no fish :(. Man were my legs dead. But to say that I weigh 410 pounds and I'm still able to do most of these things, for me, it's pretty amazing.

Congrats on your healthy food choices and being so active even at 410 pounds, it is very remarkable! Imagine what you will do after surgery !!!

Have a nice week!

Wow wow wow. That is all I can say! What marvelous accomplishments! I don't envy you but I certainly envy where you are at this time in your life.
Based on what I'm reading, around the year mark you can really start to make more pricey buys since you are very close to goal. The reason for that being, is that there is much smaller difference between small size clothes. I read on this website that for women's clothing in particular, once you are under fourteen, the difference between a size and the next is between 5 and 10 pounds only. Congrats and keep it up!!
Sincerely, Omar

Thanks Omar for the encouragements, and the info about women clothes... I didn't know the difference was smaller between sizes , I thought it was all the same... You seem to know a lot about women size... more than reading...many experiences with girlfriends??? LOL

Have a nice week!

You too!! Haha Its because I've been on the VSG board all weekend, reading away trying to gather information that might be useful for me. There are actually a lot more men than women on this site, but we're all on the same journey so I benefit just as much :)
