Hey gang,
So I want to keep losing weight while I "weight" and wanted to start trying shake supplements to get me started. I'd like to start swapping out 1 meal a day with a protein shake to help me lose some weight to make surgery that much easier when I do get that call. Can you guys suggest anything? I know Diane swears by the GnC brands but wanted to know which ones. I need something to lose weight and not something to gain muscle mass or anything like that.

Thanks,
Derek

WLShakes have no sugar added or less than one grand. I use one from genisoy as I am not intolerant to whey isolates but with soya protein I do great. I take the unflavored kind and mix with diltued oj juice. I usually take 4 ounces. Then gulp that down with the vits and calcium I need to take. I also take 5000ui of vit D3. With a b complex morning and nightt.

Hi Derek, glad to have some news... I think the whey proteins shakes that I take are for boosting the proteins because I can't eat enough, but I think they are not meant to replace a meal. Before the surgery, I wanted to lose weight a little like you, and I used slim fast, or boost with high protein. They are better I think for replacing a complete meal. Some physician prescribe those for the pre-op diet... If you want a high protein shake that is really filling, the ready to drink Premier chocolate shakes at Costco are really good. At GNC, I buy the Whey Gourmet, they have great flavours.
