Monday weigh-in...
Hi everyone, hope you had a nice week-end! I was in bed 2 days last week, with the flu, that turned out to be a sinusitis...still feeling a little bid off... Had a great week end despite this, went to a party, saw lots of people that I haven't seen in a long time, and some didn't even recognize me ! I am always surprised at this, because I don't feel so different. I have difficulty seing that I changed so much.
But every day has it's little victory moment... When I was able to zip a regular life saving vest before going on the lake, sitting on plastic chair without fear, even when I was at the grocery and an old woman dropped a can on the floor and that I was able to pick it up for her without problems...
Congrats to everyone for last week losses I didn't came back to answer because I wasn't feeling like coming to the computer last week...
LW 218,5 CW 215,5 -3 lbs
Have a nice week everybody, and a nice Canada Day !

Well I'm not doing so well. Either my scale is busted or the loosing is slow.
In the past 2 weeks I only lost about 2 lbs. :(
I know over all I have lost a lot but still 2 weeks only 2 lbs...
Plus I have been feeling really crappy. Every time I drink anything I feel sick to my stomach. Not sure what to do about that one.
Congrats to you Diane. And I'm glad you feel better.

Thanks Cindy! I think you are in a plateau, it is normal in the first weeks, the body is adjusting... the scale may no show it, but the inches are going off... don't forget to mesure yourself!
I don't know about drinking... maybe you drink too fast? And you are ok when you eat? maybe try different temperature of liquids? Keep us posted on your evolution, and maybe call the hospital if it get worst...
Hope you'll feel better...

Hi everyone!
Hope you had a nice weekend. My wekend was highlighted by an electrifying "Cowboys fringants" show, yardwork and a few dips in the pool. Yardwork was a bit exhausting but went rather well...
Diane: Happy to know that you're feeling better and congrats for those NSVs! Those cheapo plastic chairs are more comfortable now, aren't they?
Cindy: I had similar doubts about my old scale (was I on a plateau?). It may seem a bit excessive, but now I use two different scales each time I weigh myself...readings are similar (which tells me that they seem to work properly) and I pick the highest one as the "official" result...One less worry on my mind! By the way, when I decided to do so, I found out that I really was on a plateau...Good news is that you'll "fall of" this plateau soon!
"Tuesday" morning weigh in was: CW 217.8 LW 221.2 ----------> 3.4lbs lost

Diane I so understand what you say about not seeing the weight loss but keep looking at your pictures. It will help you until your brain catches up with the rest of the body.
your weight loss is amazing this week. you must be thrilled. keep up your hard work. I need to start more exercising with weights and give my muscles some toning.
Joel. great job for you this week. Les Cowboys F! what a great way to start enjoying live performances. You'll soon be in Mtl or your Metallica show.
Cindy, your symptoms sound alot like intolerence to whey protein and or milk. I had similar problems post op and had to switch to a soya protein. I mix mine in one quarter cup oj and one quarter cup water. It really made a difference for me. Mine is Genisoy all natural unflavored soya protein. I bought it online and then found some in my local marché alimentaire bio. Keep us posted. Have a good week y'all.
